Students? Students-to-be? Students-considering?
Your life will get so much easier when you realize that STEM and Humanities go hand in hand - that they are one and the same.
Yes, it took labor, electrics, and engineering to create that Television Set in the first place, but what would it be without film school? What would be behind the screen if not men and women acting, or holding booms, or directing? What would the commercials be without graphic design?
How would we learn our History if we didn’t have labs to test our fossils, and our dirt, and our Pedoligists telling us that because this buried treasure came from a specific soil horizon, it must be from [this] era?
An Art Major can tell you the significance of a classic painting - A STEM Major can tell you the significance of the ingredients in the paint. We’d be nothing without one another.
And students, students-to-be, and students-considering?
Life will also get much easier when you realize that whether you studied English, or Linear Algebra, and you graduated with a Masters — you will likely still be told you need five years experience. You will likely have an advanced degree, and still start off on a borderline minimum wage regardless.
This idea that there are two sides, and we are somehow pitted against one another, is a myth. It’s a myth. We will all start as wide eyed students, we will all fight for the ability to pursue our career, we will all start with low wage, with debted pockets - so you may as well pursue something that you love. Not something “useful.” We would fail without each other - we DO need you, humanities. No matter what your parents or your teachers say. Choose passion.
Day 2/100 Days of Productivity. 08.05.18
Some last minute revision for ComLaw, with the usual cuppa tea. I don't usually do any work on my bed, but the weather is too gloomy and cold to be stuck at a desk. Also fitting is the James Harris Sweater Weather cover playing in the background. Hope everyone is making the most of whatever weather they’re having.
9.15.17 // Organized my desk today. Does anyone else get those weird bursts of energy where you just gotta organize stuff?? That was me the moment I got home from classes today. I even bought this nifty wall file thing where I can hang all my notebooks where all my pretty notes go into. Pops said we were gonna mount it tomorrow. I also removed my high school grad photo from above my desk and instead hung up a motivational thing my ex-coworker got me for my birthday in April lol. Trying to catch up on my notetaking for Chem and Geo but it’s been a little rough because my hands get tired so easily. Oh well.
I am officially done with all my calculus classes and I am so happy. I was so over that subject I didn’t even try at the end and ended up pulling a B out of my ass lol

Day 4/100 Days of Productivity 10.05.18
So Today I took a break from studying and planned out my exam period. It’s not done yet because I don’t have my test marks so I can’t plan what I need to get for my exam’s to achieve my GPA and course mark notes. The decor is inspired by @polyglotttism ‘s beautiful Bullet Journal Cover.
It’s also been three days since I started this studyblr and everyone has already been so lovely and supportive. I hope everyone has a great day.

Y'all I hate modern (algebra) so much. Not to mention all of my professor's notes are handwritten and he has terrible handwriting. Fuck cyclic groups, you'd think something that repeats itself would be easy, most things in math that repeat are cheesable and easy to work with until matrix multiplication is added into it!
I know none of this makes sense to y'all just know I'm drowning.
Only one semester left after this. Keep em coming.
