Multiplying without calculators:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYrgjMubh-c
Observation: The video displays to students how they can multiply 2 digit numbers up to 100 in an easy fast way without the use of the calculator.
Reflection: In the classroom there are times when students are lead to do minute math. The intentions of participating in a math quiz like that is to make sure students understand the process of multiplication and it can be fun competing to see how many questions a student is able to answer in the allocated time.
Reflection on Reflection: The video that is presented shows students a easy way to multiply double digit numbers. If the student is able to follow the process that is given then he or she can successfully complete the question. Therefore students do not need to use calculators, rather they can workout the problem on their own.
