The Badminton story-arc finally catches up with Stede in 109 and he is forced to sign the Act of Grace. Ed is caught up also, and chooses to sign the Act partly to save Stedeâs life. We know itâs a pseudo marriage contract, making their individual marks of commitment for ten-years, a lifetime then. Ed does so willingly; but later, Stede feels the guilt of Edâs perceived sacrifice.
As a mirror to 109, the Ned Low story-arc finally catches up with Ed in 206. This time, Stede is caught up in Edâs mess. We see matching marks again, this time by way of torture-branding. Itâs a subversion of the face-slashing during matelotage. A more painful and dangerous mirroring of 109. This time Ed feels the guilt; but we know Stede would remain by Edâs side here even given a choice, just as Ed remained committed to Stede in Act of Grace.
Both blame themselves for the otherâs sacrifice and the subsequent fallout. They have marked or blemished their loved one with their faults.
The âruinedâ one interestingly is the catalyst for moving the relationship forward each time. Itâs as if the development in their character allows them to be braver, truer to who they are and what they want.
The âruineeâ is the one to run subsequently; partly because of the belief theyâve destroyed their loved one, but also because the change causes them to run smack into their own unresolved trauma. They appropriate the otherâs personal journey as a commentary on their own perceived flaws:
I am soft, and have therefore made him soft
I am violent, and he is violent now because of me
None of this is true. Ed was attracted to softness before he met Stede. Stede was drawn to aspects of violence before he met Ed. And neither of them is wholly soft or particularly violent, nor are they responsible for the otherâs moving towards one aspect or the other.
They realise finally the influences they have on each other is, for the most part, positive. Theyâre good for each other. They donât need to be whole or fully-healed to be together. Healing takes a lifetime, and they can do so alongside their developing relationship. They need also to recognise the other has agency over their own character growth, and to learn to not talk past each other. It wonât always be an easy straight road, but they love each other enough to succeed.
Theyâre both soft, gentle men who will commit violence to protect those they love. And itâs meeting the other which has allowed them to go on a journey of self-discovery; not through imposed changes, but by giving each the room to grow.
The only lasting mark, the only mark that is true, is the mark of love theyâve left on the other. A mark that gives them space to breathe and grow, mess up and try again.
Thatâs the real mark. Thatâs the permanent ink.

Slamming the door behind me I ran out of Ashleyâs house until I reached the big tree in the front yard, nearly collapsing against it. I cry against it not expecting all of these emotions to be coming back.  I thought my parents wanted nothing to do with me or my friends for the rest of my life. Now I find out they show up unexpectedly at my friend's baby shower. Â
Footsteps came up behind me yet I didnât turn around until I heard it was my motherâs voice speaking to me. âY/n, please donât run away and give me a chance to explain.âÂ
âExplain what, mom.â Spinning around on my feet I threw my hands up in the air shouting. âExplain the fact that you were right, that I should have never kept my baby, married Georgie or moved to California. Because I have no interest in hearing it, I'm living it!âÂ
My mother watches me slump my shoulders sitting down beside the old tree behind me. âY/n, I didnât come here today to start fighting with you. I - I had no idea that you were even coming today. We got the invite a few months ago. I understand if you donât want to talk to me but please, please hear me out when I say Iâm here to apologize.âÂ
âYouâre going to apologize for disowning me! Oh joy.â I snapped back at her, crying heavily in front of her. She had no idea how much it hurt me when I was younger that her and daddy cut me and my kids out of their lives. âWhat made you suddenly change your mind after ten years?â
âGeorgie showed me your Youtube videos that you have been making.âÂ
My mouth fell open in utter shock. âHe did?â
âYes, he did.â My mother came and sat down in front of me in the front yard, grasping my hands in ers. âAfter watching the ones that had Georgie there with you I realized I was wrong. I should have never kicked you out. I mean I wasnât happy about it but it should have been thrown against you and my twin grandkids. Iâm truly sorry for everything.â
âI canât just forgive and forget easily, mom.â I reminded her and she agreed, giving me a weak smile, changing the conversation to someone else I didnât want to talk about right now.Â
âI understand I canât easily be forgiven. I do however know that Georgie has done a lot better over these past few years. He owns his own business and has ten of them all across Texas. Your father and I donât see him as a bad influence anymore.âÂ
Wiping away my tears I yanked my right hand from her grasp. âGeorgie kissed another girl with me standing right in front of him when we were at diner on Valentines Day. How am I supposed to see that as anything else but betrayal?âÂ
âI think you should hear him out and really listen to what he has to say about that night. Itâs not what you think really happened.â My mother attempted to defend my ex husband.Â
Scoffing back to her I didnât want to hear it. â Oh yeah and how can he ever prove to me that he didnât kiss her that night unless -â
âHe didnât kiss me. I kissed him.â Whipping my head around we heard a new female voice enter our conversation. Walking over to us from across the street was none other than Many McCalister herself, wearing a short black skirt with white tea shirt tucked in and her blonde hair slightly pinned back. I had never wanted to punch someone so much in my life while my mind wandered back to that night.Â
Eight year ago
Georgie and I hadnât really been out of the house much by ourselves since the kids were born. It certainly wasnât our anniversary but it felt like one for us on Valentines Day. Georigeâs mom had offered to watch our kids for us for a few hours. Georgie and I had gotten a table at the Mexican restaurant near our apartment building. âI didnât think weâd get to do this for a few more years.âÂ
âI want to spoil my girl for a night out.â He smiled across the table at me. âAfter this itâs back to the dollar menu at Taco Bell.âÂ
âI donât mind that.  Theyâve got some good food on the dollar menu.âÂ
Georgie playfully warned me with a smirk. âGirl, you better save that sexy talk for when we get home.âÂ
âI wish your dad could have seen our kids grow up.â I lowered my gaze to the menu knowing that George sr would have really enjoyed being a grandfather.Â
âDid I ever tell you a secret my dad taught me?â Shaking my head no where I rested my chin in the palms of my hands. âThe secret to findinâ out how your wifeâs gonna look when sheâs older is to check out her mother.âÂ
âGross.â I gagged at his explanation.Â
He shrugged his shoulders seeing the waitress bringing our dinner over to us. âThatâs a compliment.âÂ
âItâs still gross, Georgie.â I throw some chips in his face with the waitress sitting our food down in front of us. Lifting my gaze up to thank them I gasped recognizing the blonde girl. âI know you - youâre Mandy from the laundry mat.âÂ
She nodded her head yes walking off and only coming back to check on if our food was alright. Georgie left the table to go pay our dinner bill while I boxed up the leftovers we had that we would eat later in the week so we didnât have to cook or buy more food. Walking over to the checkout countertop my mouth fell opened seeing Georgie kissing the blonde waitress named Mandy. âGeorgie! What are you doing?âÂ
âY/n! I - I didnât kiss her. Itâs not what youâre thinkinâ.â He spun around on his feet nearly turning white when he saw me standing in front of him.Â
Shoving the leftover bag against his chest I turned on my heels exiting the restaurant without another word. âIâll be waiting in the truck.âÂ
âY/n, please understand me. Georgie had come up to pay for your food and he gave me my first tip of the night. I was having a horrible night knowing I had so many things that I needed money for. I almost wasnât able to pay my rent until he gave me that five dollar tip that night.â The blondie blinked away some tears while she explained her situation that I hadnât heard of. âMy point to all that is that I was just overjoyed and it accidentally happened. It was an accident I swear. He had nothing to do with the kiss.âÂ
Footsteps came out the front door when I got up from the ground looking over my shoulder to see Georgie walking over to me with a nervous expression on his face till we were standing in front of each other. âI asked her to come over and clear things up. I knew youâd never believe me unless you heard it from someone else.âÂ
âGeorgie - Iâm sorry.â I blinked back some tears now only seeing the silly boy I fell in love with in the man standing in front of me. âIâm sorry for pushing you away - for not believing you all these years. I - I never - Iâve never stopped loving you.âÂ
He closes the distance between us cupping my face in his hands connecting our lips together in an eight year long awaited kiss. âI never stopped loving you either darlinâ.â Wrapping my arms around his neck I threaded my fingers into his hair, missing being in his arms more than I ever thought was possible.Â

Six months. Six fucking months. Thatâs how long youâve been stuck in this house, constantly under your âsoulmateâs watch. Even when he left the house he was still watching you through the multiple cameras in every room, even the damn bathrooms.
Even if you werenât constantly being watched you wouldnât make it far into the forest that surrounds the large house, thanks to the damn electric collar sitting snug on your neck. The last time you managed to get a window open and ran you were knocked unconscious due to the volts traveling through your body, you didnât even make it five steps away.
You let out a sigh and turn to one of the nearby cameras, that you can see, and flip him off before you get off the too luxurious couch to pace around the house. Yet again. âCanât leave the damn place, canât go make anything to eat until he gets back, and Iâve walked all over this house. If heâs going to keep me captive then he could at least give me some books or a tv or fucking something.â You rant as you pass the same empty rooms youâve âexploredâ dozens of times now.
âIf I ever get out of here, Iâm going to find a way to stab Tomura and never take another job from him. Then maybe get some drinks with Dabi andâŠyeah no just Dabi.â You shake your head and find yourself in the small personal library once more and flop down onto the couch sitting in front of the window. The unbreakable window. He even locked the books up behind the same glass. Fucking Deku thought of everything.
âI might as well take another nap, not like thereâs anything else to do around here.â You mutter as you sprawl out like a cat and let the silence carry you off to sleep.
âSweetheart, Iâm home!â Izuku calls out with a grin as he locks the door and sets the alarm. He knows you havenât quite settled into your role, but he was hoping to at least see your gorgeous face as soon as he got home, but youâre not even on the couch or pouting at the dining table.
With a slight frown he starts his search for you upstairs, knowing that youâre still in the house but just not sure of which room youâre in. Sure he could just use the cameras to find you but whereâs the fun in that?
He scans the bedrooms from top to bottom and checks under any piece of furniture that you could be under or inside or on top of. Then he checks the recreational rooms, only to find nothing, and then ends up at the library. A smile grows on his face when he spots your sleeping form curled up on the sofa, vulnerable and defenseless. With quiet steps he sneaks over to you and kneels in front of you before slowly moving you onto your back and watching your face slightly scrunch up and then relax again.
Ever so slowly and carefully, Izuku peels the tiny pink shorts down and off your legs before letting out a relaxed sigh at the sight of your barely clothed cunt. âSo closeâŠâ he whispers as his scarred fingers work the cotton down your legs until they reach your feet and leave your lower lips bare. âThereâs my pretty cunt.â He exhales as he rises from his spot on the floor to prop himself over your lower body until his nose is mere inches from your honeypot. âThank you for the meal.â He whispers before running his tongue over your lips and then slowly delving into your depths, savoring your sweet flavor.
Groaning, you try to shift your body only to be fully woken up with a jolt from your core. Sitting up, or as much as the green brute allows you to sit up, you spot those damn green eyes staring at you from between your thighs. âWhat are you do~ing?!â You reluctantly moan out as he gives your throbbing clit a harsh suck.
âEnjoying my soulmate.â He says simply and itâs then you notice his fingers-nearly his whole hand- in your slick cunt rubbing and toying with your gummy walls. âGet the f-f-fuck off of me!â You grip his hair, whether to pull him off or pull him closer you arenât sure as your legs start to tremble and your stomach tightens with each lick of his tongue and swipe of his fingers.
âAdmit you enjoy it and I will, Bunny.â You have to bite your lip to keep a moan from crawling out as your toes curl with each movement from him. Desperately you start to shove his shoulders but yelp as he brings out Black Whip and forces you to lie restrained on the sofa. âTell me or Iâll keep going, Bunny. You know I can do this all night.â Whimpering as he gently nips at your clit, you shake your head.
âI donât want it, j-just get off! Ahh!â You cry out as he thrusts his fingers in and out of your slick hole, your eyes screwing up briefly. âI didnât ask if you wanted it. I just want you to admit youâre enjoying me getting you off.â He grunts as he rearranges your trembling legs onto his shoulders.
Stubbornly you shake your head, too proud to admit the shameful truth about the reason your bodyâs heated up and your toes are curling. You can taste iron as you dig your teeth even harsher into the soft flesh of your bottom lip while he strokes that special spot that has you seeing stars with each touch.
ââŠstop, please.â You barely whimper as that coil in your stomach is wound tighter and tighter and you can feel your walls clench around his fingers. âSay what I want to hear, Bunny.â He murmurs, sending vibrations all across your body through your cunt as you feel his tongue delve in with his fingers.
You shake your head as the echoes of him slurping your slick thud around the room and your cloudy mind. âMm fine, I like it.â You mutter as your hips twitch under him. âWhat do you like? Hm? Tell me what you like and whose doing it.â He commands you as he pulls away from your tingling cunt, his mouth glistening in your juices and a pink glow covering his face.
You clench the material of the couch as you struggle to get the words out. âIâŠI like how good, f-fuck, how good my pussy feels.â Your chest heaves with each heavy breath of air you gulp in before itâs lost with each movement of his skilled fingers in your cunt. âAnd whose making this pretty cunt feel good?â Izuku forces you look into his eyes with his free hand, his dark green eyes reflecting your panting, sweaty face.
âYou!â âAnd who am I to you?â A thousand different answers flow through the fog of your mind. Kidnapper, rapist, two-faced bastard, captor, an antagonist, creep, etc etc.
You go with the one that you know wonât have you thrown back into the cellar for the week. âMy soulmate!â You moan out as he pushes you over the edge and keep thrusting his fingers in your twitching pussy as it spasms and clenched around the intruding digits.
âThatâs right, Princess. Only your soulmate can make you feel this good, only I can make this pussy feel good.â He whispers into your ear and pulls his fingers out from you with a lewd squelch, causing you to cringe as you pant and feel minor tremors travel through your body as it recovers. âHow about I go get dinner started while you get cleaned up. Howâs that sound sweetheart?â He nuzzled against your neck before giving your lips a quick peck and getting up from your spent body, cleaning his fingers off with his mouth as he leaves the room.
Shameful tears build in the corner of your eyes before you angrily wipe them away before they can fall and curl into yourself.
Dull, tired purple eyes stare at the security footage as the two figures part ways. âWhere the hell did you go, Kitten?â Speeding up the footage, he watches the criminal known as Dabi as he barely moves from his spot until the morning sunlight starts to show. Curious, he checks any other angles of Dekuâs agency to see if the young woman had slipped out through another doorway, only to come up empty handed. WellâŠsomewhat.
The only strange thing he had spotted was the green haired pro carrying a bundle of fabric out to his car. There were no discernible features or movements from the bundle, and to anyone else it would have been written off as just some clothes the pro hero had kept at the office. To Shinso however, something just seemed off to him. Looks like heâll have to pay a certain arsonist a visit.
Soulmate!AU: How would Akaashi react to seeing his soulmate mark matched Bokuto? Would he tell him or would he keep it to himself?
Thanks for waiting for me to get to this <3 <3
My dog has been sick so I havenât had a working brain cell for a couple weeks, but sheâs doing better so here we go!Â
(Assuming they are only teammates and not dating or super close friends when he notices)Â
Akaashi would have a lot of mixed emotions at first and heâd want to give it some proper thought before just pointing it out.Â
He thinks Bokuto is a pretty amazing person but he never expected him to be his soulmate. He is happy about it though. He smiled to himself that night. But heâs also happy Bokuto doesnât know they match yet. He wants to get to know his soulmate better without Bokuto knowing they are matched. Feels more natural, more right to him.Â
He makes a point of hiding his mark and starts to hang out with Bokuto more outside of practice. And once he feels he really knows, he stops hiding his mark and letâs Bokuto figure it out on his own.Â

Part 10 Â Â Â MASTERLIST
It was hard leaving Bobby in the hospital but it had to be done. Dean discovered the meaning behind Chuckâs vision, âa castle sat upon 42 dogsâ. The solution was his fatherâs old storage unit, Castle Storage, on 42 Rover Drive in New York. Sam took the back seat, letting you sit up front with Dean. His knuckles flexed over the wheel a few times before looking over in your direction. âWhy donât you rest your eyes for a little bit? We still got a little over an hour to go.âÂ
Your brows furrowed slightly at his suggestion, suddenly feeling your eyes grow heavier. âI guess youâre rightâŠâ You stifled a yawn and slouched further into your seat. âWhat about you? Arenât you tired?â The corner of Deanâs lips twitched into a smile before glancing in the backseat to see Sam sprawled out, asleep.
One of his hands patted his leg before letting his arm rest against the back of the seat. âLay your head down here, donât want your neck to kink.â One of your brows arched and glanced between his lap and his face. That damn cocky smirk was enough to convince you to do anything.
With a dramatic sigh and a playful roll of your eyes you shifted down on the bench, letting your head rest against his thick thigh. His warmth spread through you as his let his hand rest against your side, giving you a small squeeze. Your eyes drifted shut to the sounds of Dean humming along with Led Zeppelin playing on the radio.Â
Dean lifted open the hood to the trunk, dispersing weapons to you and his brother. You pushed the knife inside the side of your boot and loaded the pistol in your hand. âLetâs get this shit done.â Dean grumbled while Sam slammed the trunk and head towards the long row of storage units.
The older Winchester quickly undid the lock and shoved it inside his pocket. When Sam opened the door, the first thing you noticed was the bodies littered across the floor, all of them dead. The sound of Zachariahâs voice had the three of you aiming your guns in the back corner. âWell, I see you told the demons where the sword was.â
You let out a huff and lowered your weapon. âOh great, the angels are here.â
He ignored the comment and continued his rant. âAnd to think, they couldâve grabbed it at any time. It was right under their little noses.â Zach smirked to himself and closed the storage door, locking you all inside.
âWhat do you mean?â Sam cleared his throat, shifting his weight between his feet. A stern look settled upon his features.
Zachariah shrugged and smiled a little wider. âWe may have planted that particular piece of prophecy inside of Chuckâs skull but it was true. We truly did lose the Michael sword. That was until you just hand delivered it to us.â
Deanâs eyes squinted and shook his head. âWe donât have anything.â
The angel seemed frustrated, a deep frown settled on his face before letting out a heavy sigh. âItâs you, chucklehead. You are the Michael Sword, Dean.â
The air in the room seemed thicker, harder to breathe. It was no secret that Dean was important to this entire charade, but this? You didnât mean to laugh, but everything was surreal. A hand clamped over your mouth to try and stifle the sound as both brothers glared at you.
Zach just sent an annoyed glance in your direction before pushing your distraction to the back of his mind. âYou three didnât think you could actually kill Lucifer, could you? Have you looked at yourselves? Youâre all weak, puny humans!â
âWhat do you mean Dean is the sword?â Sam stepped forward, his arms crossing over his chest.
âWhy, heâs Michaelâs weapon of course⊠or should I say his, receptacle.â He clasped his hands in front of himself glancing between the three of you waiting for someone to figure it out first.
âDeanâs his vessel.â The three words were nothing more than a whisper when the passed your lips, but it was loud enough for them to hear. Deanâs head whipped in your direction and realization came across him.
Zachariah let out a hearty laugh and pointed a finger at you. âBingo! I knew you had a brain in that fragile little skull of yours.â His smile split across his face and he let out a deep sigh of relief. He took a few steps forward and leaned down until he was face level with you. âAnd do you want to know the best part about this all?â
Your jaw clenched as you balled your hands into fists, trying to resist the urge to punch his smile straight off his face. âWhat?â You spoke through gritted teeth.
âSo are you.â His words were like a slap in face before he stood back up, satisfied with your facial expression.
Dean huffed beside you and stepped a little in front of you, as if he could protect you from what Zach had just said. âIâm sorry youâre telling me sheâs also Michaelâs vessel?â
âWhat? No! Sheâs a vessel, yes, but no, not for Michael. Thatâs all for you Deany boy.â
âThen do you maybe want to elaborate a little more before I shoot that smug look off your fucking face?â The venom that dripped from the oldest Winchester had goosebumps peppering across your skin. You watched as his shoulders squared and his chest puffed out slightly, like an animal waiting to pounce.
Zachariah glanced from Dean to you. âShe is Arielâs vessel.â
âYouâre telling me Iâm made for the little fucking mermaid?!â
âNo, you idiot. The Archangel Ariel, the great Lion of God, protector and healer of the Earth. The two of you together, power couple of the universe! While I wish it wasnât the two of you boneheads, you are about to embark on something monumental.â Â
âWhy them?â Samâs eyes narrowed while he looked at the two of you. âOver seven billion people in the world, why them?â
âBecause theyâre chosen!â The angel yelled, like it was common sense.
Dean snarled and waged a finger between the two of us. âI think I can speak for the both of us when I say we donât feel like living life like an angel condom. Weâll pass.â
The angel in front of you shook his head, eyes turning colder. âAlways with the jokes, Dean⊠No more jokes.â He held up his fingers in the shape of a gun and pointed it at Sam. âBang.â The sound of bone cracking and Sam groaning filled the room before he fell to the ground. You and Dean moved to help before Zach tsked. âNo more mouthing off or I will break every bone in poor little Sammyâs body. We are at war and we donât have our general. Which incase you havenât figured out, is bad. Michael and Ariel are going to come for their vessels and when they do, they will lead the final charge against Lucifer. Got it?â
âYeah and how many people are going to die if this whole thing plays out, huh? A million? Five? Ten?â You spoke up, your fingers twitching against the handle of your gun.
âAnd if Lucifer runs unchecked, how many do you think are going to die then? All of them. Heâll roast this planet alive.â
Your jaw shifted uneasily, shaking your head slightly. âThereâs a reason youâre telling us this now, instead of just nabbing us.â Zachariah tilted his head, question in his eyes about what youâre trying to get at. âThey need permission, our say-so to hop a ride on this wagon.â
âUnfortunately, yes. But it is written that the two of you are going to be the saviors of us all.â
âEat me, the answers no.â Dean growled and stood his ground. You could practically feel the anger radiating off of him, not that you were any better.
Zachâs nose scrunched as a proverbial light bulb went off in his head. âHow about your little friend Bobby? Heâs laid up in the hospital, gravely injured if I remember. You two say yes and uh, weâll heal him. Say no, Iâll make sure he never walks again.â
Dean shook his head again. âNo.â
With every rejection the angrier Zachariah got. âFine, then⊠weâll heal her from stage four stomach cancer.â His eyes casted towards you right before you hunched over. Your body racked with a violent cough, blood splattered from your mouth. A deep groan vibrated your chest as you fell to the ground, no longer having the strength to hold yourself up. It felt as if your swallowed acid, everything hurt. Your eyes stung with tears while you hugged yourself.
Deanâs face paled as he went to your side, placing a soft hand against your back causing you to flinch. He opened his mouth to speak, but you beat him. âNo! Donât you dare say it.â
His eyes burned with rage but he shook his head no anyways. âFine, letâs get really creative. Sam, how attached are you to your lungs?â With a snap of his fingers, Samâs body thrashed as he suffocated. His face contorted as he tried to fill his non existent lungs with air. Zachariah crouched in front of you and gripped your chin, causing blood to fall on his fingers. âYouâre going to say yes, Y/N.â
Another cough itched at your chest, sending a splatter of blood across the angels face. He grimaced and tightened his grip causing a small whimper from you. âGet your fucking hands off of her.â Dean took a step forward but halted when Zach held up a hand.
âTake another step closer and I will break her jaw.â
âJust kill us.â
Zach shifted his eyes back to you and sneered. âOh, how I wish I could.â
His threats were cut short when a bright light and thundering bomb appeared behind him. The three of you flinched away, the light hurting your eyes. When you were finally able to look up again, you saw Castiel plunging an angel blade into one of Zachariahâs minions. You felt helpless as the angel fought, killing all of them but Zach himself. âHow are you alive?â
Castiel huffed and tightened his fingers on the angel blade. âThatâs a good question. Just like how did they end up on that plane? Thatâs another good question. The angels didnât do it, but I think you already knew that. Now, fix the girl and the boy and leave. I wonât ask again.â
A weight was lifted off of you as you took in a deep breath. Nothing hurt anymore and blood was no longer dripping from your lips. Dean rushed to help you and his brother back onto your feet, keeping a supportive hand wrapped around your shoulder. âThe three of you need to be more careful. Lucifer is circling his vessel and when he finally takes it those little hex bags wonât be enough to hide you anymore.â
Castiel stepped directly in front of you. He placed a hand on each of the brotherâs chest before resting his forehead against yours. The three of you whimpered, but the pain was over as quickly as it started. âWhat the hell was that for?â
He removed his touch and took a step back. âItâs an Enochian sigil. It will protect you from every angel ever in creation, including Lucifer. Donât worry, I carved it into your ribs.â
The drive back to the hospital was silent most of the drive. Dean grew aggravated when he couldnât find a track to fit his mood and ended up just shutting the whole radio off. You couldnât blame him. You werenât sure what you were feeling either.
Sam took the front seat this time, leaning his head against the window as he typed something on his phone and started scrolling. âDid you know the Ariel is known for healing the planet and humans? Sheâs supposed to be one with nature and helps t-â
âSam, can we not talk about this right now?â Your eyes remained shut but you hugged yourself a little tighter in the backseat. You could feel Dean looking at you through the rearview mirror but right now you didnât care.
You could hear him shift awkwardly in his seat and shoving his phone back into his pocket. âSorryâŠâ
Another forty-five minutes passed before you found yourselves parking in front of the Saint Martinâs Hospital. Dean made his way to the front desk asking for his room number, explaining that you were his kids. The nurse nodded and typed away on her computer before pointing down the back hall.
Dean pushed the door open, smiling when he saw Bobby sitting upright on his hospital bed. There was an annoyed expression on the old manâs face, but it softened when he saw the three of you. âWell, itâs about time you got here. The nurse said doc would be back soon about an hour ago.â Bobby snorted and shook his head. The three of you smiled sheepishly at him and made your away to the other side of the room, leaning against the wall. âOne of you can sit in that chair, yanno.â He nodded to the cushioned chair beside the hospital bed.
Sam nudged you on the shoulder. âGo ahead, Dean and I need to stretch our legs anyways.â
You frowned slightly. âI was in the car too.â
Dean shook his head and pressed his hand against the small of your back before kissing the top of your head. âSamâs right, we donât know how much longer the doctor will be. Go rest.â Reluctantly, you trudged over to the seat and sat down, trying to keep a satisfied sigh from your lips. You werenât about to admit the chair was comfier than the Impalaâs seats.
Twenty minutes passed before Bobbyâs doctor made himself known again, sharing the news the three of you were already aware of. âUnlikely to walk again?! You snot-nosed son of a bitch! Wait till I get out of this bed, Iâll use my game leg and kick your fucking ass!â You tried to conceal your laugh as the doctor scurried out of the door.
âWay to go, Bobby. Now you really wonât get the good pain meds.â You giggled and patted him on the arm.
âAw, screw that yahoo I donât need them.â He grumbled and the scowl formed back over his brows. âI deserve a damn medal for this.â
Dean nodded and tucked his hands inside his pockets. âYeah you do. But you stay on the mends, okay? Weâll be back in a bit.â The three of you said your goodbyes and made your way to the exit.
Sam opened the lobby doors, letting the two of you walk in front of him. âHey you know what I was thinking? Maybe we could go look for the colt. Use it on Lucifer⊠Like you said to Bobby you wan-â
âI just said a bunch of crap for Bobbyâs benefit, Sam. I mean, Iâll fight. Iâll fight till the very last man. But Sam we donât stand a chance in Hell of making it out of this. I know that, she knows that, and you do too.â Dean stopped walking in order to turn and look at his brother. You bit your bottom lip and shifted back from the conversation. This was between the two of them. For a while you could tell Deanâs patience was wearing thin with his brother, but he always put on a good front.
Samâs face contorted into confusion and his head tilted slightly. âIs there something you want to say to me?â
Deanâs brows furrowed deeper, you could practically see the wheels turning in his head on how to approach it. You winced slightly, you knew what he was going to say. He voiced it to you before, but never to anyone else. Finally he sighed, âI tried, Sammy. I really tried. But I just canât keep pretending everything is fine when itâs not. It never will be. You choose Ruby over your brother and now everyone is paying for it. I depended on you more than anyone and now⊠you let me down in more ways than I can count. I just donât think I can trust you.â
You could hear it in his voice how much it hurt him to say that, but Samâs face made it even worse. Guilt flooded his eyes and you so badly wanted to let him know that it was going to be fine, but it wasnât. You lifted your hand and tugged the back of Deanâs jacket. âCâmon, we should find a place to crash.â
Thankfully there had been plenty of motels that surrounded the hospital. Sam decided he would be getting his own room, for tonight anyways. The brothers were still giving each other the cold shoulder. You knew they would be talking again soon, they just needed time to cool off.
After towel drying your hair, you quickly ran a brush through it before rummaging through your bag to try and find something to sleep in. Nothing seemed to suit your liking, until your eyes found Deanâs bag sitting on top of the table. A small smile touched your lips as you heard Dean singing from the shower. There was nothing comfier than one of his t-shirts. Quickly unzipping his bag, you found one of his black teeâs and tugged it over your head. Your melted back into the mattress as his scent flooded your senses.
You were scrolling through the TV when Dean finally emerged from his shower, clean white towel wrapped around his hips. Water drops falling from the tips of his hair down onto his broad chest. He smiled a little brighter at the sight of you. âWell, arenât you a pretty sight?â
Your cheeks flushed as you sat up from the headboard, âI could say the same thing about you.â
Dean chuckled and headed over to his bag, sending a sideways glance your way when he saw it was already opened. âThought that shirt looked familiar.â He shook his head and pulled another shirt out and tugged it on, followed by a pair of grey sweatpants. You swore you saw him shove some something into his pocket, but brushed it off.
He crawled into the bed beside you, resting against his headboard while opening his arms for you. A perfect invitation to crawl against his chest. âWhat are we watching?â
âEscape from Alcatraz.â Your shoulders shrugged at the giddy smile that Dean directed at the TV.
âSounds perfect, love me some Clint Eastwood.â You laughed as he squeezed his arm tighter around you and kissed the top of your head. The commercials ended and the two of you watched the movie in a comfortable silence.
Before your eyes could fully close, Dean was nudging you till your eyes fully opened. âHmm?â
âDonât go to sleep yet, sweetheartâŠâ He shifted underneath you until he sat up, causing you to sit up as well.
Your bottom lip pouted, âWhy not? Dean, Iâve seen this movie before and itâs almost over.â Your whines caused him to chuckle.
âThis is about the movie.â He smiled sheepishly at you and cautiously pulled a folded up handkerchief from his pocket. Your eyebrows furrowed and he gently laid it in your outstretched hand. âI donât have a box or anything so, hopefully this is okay.â
Dean nervously fidgeted with his hands in his lap, watching you unfold the fabric in your hands. When the object was finally on display, you felt your chest tighten, a shaky breath blowing from you. âWhatâs this for?â You tried not to let your voice waver as you picked up the small ring in your hand. At first glance you didnât recognize it, until it dawned on you. Back when Zachariah put the three of you in fantasy land, you and Dean were married. This was the ring you left on his desk before walking out.
He gulped and smiled at you, âI promise if we make it out of all this alive, Iâll do this better for you. But just in case, I needed you to have it, as a promise.â You didnât realize you were crying until you felt a tear hit your cheek. âAw, baby I didnât mean to make you cry.â He let out a small laugh and wiped his thumb across your cheek.
âItâs perfect, Dean.â He raised your hand and kissed the finger that now holded the ring.

âIâll pick you two up from here in an hour.â My mom said to me and Missy get out of her car. I had started hanging out with her more since I couldnât stand to be around Georige since he was dating someone else. From what Mrlowe and I could tell our plan was somewhat working. Jana would give me mean looks in the hallway.
I held open the door for Missy and she skipped into the sporting goods store. âSo why are we here? Ohh do you want me to throw a baseball at him?â
âWe talked about that already. Itâs still no.â I sent her a half glare and the smirk dropped from her face.Â
Someone came around the corner and stands at the front glass case with the cash register seeing us looking around the sports store. âCan I help you find something?â The man was almost bald with grey hair wearing a green shirt and blue jeans with boots.Â
âI was just promised ice cream when her mom picks us up.â Missy shrugged her shoulders.Â
I stepped forward leaning my elbows on the counter top. âMr. Ballard, I was hoping to see if I could get an after school job here. If youâre hiring of course.âÂ
âI actually am. Iâll give you an application to fill out and bring back to me. The sooner I get it back the sooner I can get you started here, uh..â
âY/n, Y/n L/n.â I introduced myself where he stuck his hand out shaking mine.Â
He nodded heading to the backroom coming back with the paperwork before we heard my moms horn honk from outside. âDale Ballard. Hope to see you on Monday.âÂ
Exiting the sporting store we got back in my moms truck and she drove us back to her house. Missy and I went into her and Sheldonâs room so she could grab her baseball glove. âAre you sure I canât throw a ball at my brother for you?âÂ
âMissy!â I scolded her.Â
She shrugged her shoulders, tossing me a ball so I could throw some hits at her. âIâm just saying it might work.â
âI already have my plan in motion.â I raised my hand back, throwing it at her.Â
She caught the baseball in her glove. âOkay.âÂ
The front door opened where I dare to turn my head and see Georgie walking out with his car keys in his hands until he paused in his steps. âWhat are you two doing out here?âÂ
âJust baseball.â I answered him clutching the glove I was wearing. âWhat are you doing?â
He shrugged his shoulders. âGonna go hang out with Jana.â
âOh! Thatâs great.â I bared my teeth hearing that name.Â
He nodded, tossing his keys from one hand to the other for a few seconds before he saw me not saying anything more. âWell Iâll uh see you around.âÂ
âYeah see ya, Cooper.â I clicked my tongue and he got in his car driving off while I kicked the grass with my shoes.
Missy called my attention back to her. âY/n, why canât you just hang out with my brother like you used to?âÂ
âItâs kind of hard to explain except this way. Being a grown up sucks. So enjoy the years of being a kid.â I said back to her with a gentle smile thinking back on when things were easier between me and her older brother.Â
Georgie and I were watching Ducktales on the tv in the living room laying on the couch. Missy came in from the kitchen with a red notebook in her right hand. âCan you two help me with my homework?â
âYouâre asking me. I donât understand my own homework.â Georgie asked her muting the tv with the remote.Â
Missy admitted. âYeah but youâre all I got.âÂ
âWhat kind of homework is it, Missy?â I asked the young girl.Â
She held up the book away from her chest. âGrammar.â
âI ainât great with grammar.â
I shifted sitting up on the couch giving my best friend a sympathetic look to help his sister. âGeorgie, come on. At least give it a shot.âÂ
âGrammar is just talkinâ and we talk good.â Missy sat down on the other side of her brother so the three of us were sitting upright on the couch before she handed him the book. âThereâs a list of sentences and youâre supposed to say if each oneâs a complete sentence or not.âÂ
Georgie eyed the book, shutting it after reading the pages for a few seconds. âI donât think I can help you.â He hands it back to his sister.Â
Missy started walking back to the kitchen but turned around with a frown. âDo you think weâre stupid?âÂ
âSheldonâs in high school at nine years old and we canât figure out your homework. What do you think?â Georgie sighed heavily unmuting the tv until I snatched the remote from his hand. âY/n!â
I sent him a glare keeping the remote away from his grasp. âTry and help her. Then you'll get this hack.â
âSometimes I tell myself I only look stupid because heâs so smart.â Missy responded to her brother where he finally answered her.Â
âGive me the book.â She sat down handing it to him. âSo the first one on your homework is most people in the country.âÂ
âI donât see an action word. Georgie , I donât think this is a sentence.â Missy paused reading over it.Â
He hands her the pencil and her book. âPut a verb in there, girl.âÂ
The next day Georgie and I were laying on his bed playing Uno until a piece of paper slipped underneath his shut bedroom door. He got up from the bed unfolding the paper where I asked him, seeing him grinning ear to ear. âWhat does it say?â
He turned it around to show me that the paper read 100% written in red marker with a smiley face. âThatâs amazing, bestie!âÂ
âDid you cry when you saw it?â Missyâs voice came from the other side of the door.Â
Georgie grumbled back. âNo. Cause it ainât that big a deal.âÂ
âShut up. It is such a big deal.â I jumped up from my seat on the bed.Â
My best friend noticed it was me and smiled with a grin directly back at me. âHi Y/n. Looks like we'll be working together.âÂ
Georgie whispered under his breath. âBe quiet, Y/n.â He went over using one of his pins to pin it on his board on his wall.Â
âDid you hang it on your wall?â Missy piped in again.Â
Georgie snapped at her. âGet out of here!â
âIâm telling people you cried.â Missy teased him and I heard her shoes hitting the floor as she walked to her bedroom.
I clasped my hands over my mouth trying to contain my laughter causing Georgie to come walking over to me. âCome here you little tease.âÂ
âAh no.â I screamed crawling off the bed but he managed to grab one of my ankles holding me on the bed.
Georgie grinned down at me with me underneath his body. âYou ainât going anywhere now.â
âGeorgie!â I squealed when he moved his hands over my body to the spots where I was ticklish and I started giggling at the top of my lungs.Â
He chuckled, raising his hands over my stomach letting me catch my breath. âHave you quit making this a big deal?â
âYes - for now.â I grabbed his right arm and flipped him onto his back where I was on top of him now. He stared up at me for a few minutes, shocked that I had just done that to him.Â
âYou better not tell anyone this just happened.â
I chuckled climbing off of him and he sat up on the bed next to me. âDonât worry, Cooper. Scar code.â
âScar code.â He bumped his scar with mine and we both grinned back at the other.Â
The front door to Mr. Ballardâs store opened where he was reading over the application I had filled out for him. He held out his hand and we shook on it before he turned to see we had a new customer. âEverything looks good here. Welcome to the sports salman's department. Oh Iâll help this person out.âÂ
âExcuse me. Are you Mr. Ballard?â I stand behind the counter hearing a familiar voice.Â
Ballard answered. âThatâd be me.â
âIâm Georgie. Connie Tuckerâs grandson.âÂ
Ballard eyed his hair. âOh yeah the hair. Very pretty.â
âI was wondering if I could maybe apply for a job here.âÂ
I bolted around the glass countertop and into the back room for the employees. Slamming the door behind me I put my hands against the door screaming lightly under my breath. âAhhh! Youâve got to be kidding me.âÂ
âI actually just hired a girl that looks to be your age. You two could tag team working the store for me.â Ballard explains where I cracked the door open deciding that I had to face him.Â
Georgie asked before I came around the corner very slowly. âOh cool. Whatâs her name?âÂ
School usually seemed to drag onward throughout the day. And currently at the moment this day felt especially long. I had nervously been tapping my feet on the floor for the last hour not being able to wait any longer. When the last period bell rang I sprang from my seat and outside the classroom finding that Georgie had already found Ryker and Marlowe standing by his locker. âDid you already tell Hannah and Ashley to meet us here too?â
âI simply told them you needed to tell them something and nothing else.â Georgie raised his hands up in surrender.
I heard footsteps coming up behind me in a fast manner. âWhat did you need to tell us?â Hannah and Ashley both said together.
âSo you know the plan I told yâall about where Marlowe and I would fake date to make him jealous and realize his feelings for me. Well Iâm happy to report that it actually worked for us.â I moved to stand over to Georgie and he draped an arm over my shoulder mirroring the same grin that I had on my face.
Ryker gasped in shock. âAre you playing with us, guys?â
âCause you havenât been telling me anything. You said that he came over to your house to talk.â Marlowe throws his hands around away from his chest.
Ashley wraps her arms around Hannah. âWho cares he talked with her about unless it was to say he has feelings for you.â
âOkay, okay, all of you stop talking so I can tell you the story.â I cut them all off knowing if they kept asking me questions weâd never get anywhere. âSo he came over to my house in the middle of the night and basically apologized that he didnât realize he had feelings for me after all these years.â
Georgie throws his hands up like he was surrendering. âThatâs the whole deal so now yâall can freak out or whatever you want.â
âIt only took 16 years for you two to realize what we all saw back in 5th grade.â Hannah slapped her hands on her thighs.
Ashley smirked at Georgie and I. âSo when should we expect it to be Mr and Mrs. Georgie Cooper?â
âOh I - um not for a while Iâd say.â I felt my cheeks heating up at her question.
Georgie nervously answered. âEventually we might. I ainât trying to rush her since we just told her parents but my family doesnât know yet.â
âOh I think they already know.â Marlowe chuckled with a smirk crossing his face.
Ryker cursed at his statement. âDamn, he probably ainât wrong though.â
All our friends had valid points about his family. Missy had definitely already figured out what was going on between us. But my mind certainly wasnât thinking of marrying him yet since we had only been on one date. âHey yâall, thereâs some stuff I gotta take care of. So Iâll see ya later. Bye darling.â Georgie kissed my forehead waving bye to our friends before he headed out to the parking lot.
Ashley patted me on the back a few seconds after he had gone out the door. âSo do you know what he has planned for the next date night?â
âNope. He wants to keep it a surprise.â I replied to her.
Ryker gave me a raised brow when Hannah came up to me holding me by my shoulders. âDo you know what that could mean?â
âHe might want to sleep with you.â Marlowe finished her sentence.
Even though my face turned a little redder again I wasnât worried about that happening. Hannah and Ryker had done it in the past. In fact she told me and Ashley about it the very next time we were together, just the three of us. âPfft Iâm not all that worried about it. I mean Georgie wouldnât force me into it.â
âThatâs not the point. Y/n the question is would you want him to take your virginity?â Ryker asked almost bluntly but I knew he meant well.
I smiled looking down at my shoes for a minute taking it all in and they all waited for my response to what he had just asked me. âHeâs the only guy Iâve liked for a long time. So yes.â
âWell you better tell us what happened the next time weâre together.â Ashley gave me a hug and I fist pumped her. That was our own little agreement between us.
Finishing up my homework and getting done with my shift at Daleâs sporting store I parked my truck in the Cooper driveway seeing Georgie leaning against the driver door of his Mustang he had finally saved up enough money for. âSo do I get to see whatever you have set up for tonight now or not?â
âGet in the truck and Iâll show ya.â He tilted his to the side as a gesture and we got in the car together where he drove us out to the old tiny cabin that we had found. He parked the car as close as he could, helping me out and covering my eyes when we walked to the front door.
âDonât let me trip, Cooper.â I chuckled until he stopped and he pushed the door opened walking me inside, not uncovering my eyes till we stopped walking. He dropped his hands smiling when I gasped at what he had done in front of me. âGeorgie, I - I canât believe you did all this.â
The fold out couch was covered with pillows and some blankets we had brought here when we would camp out with the gang. There were a few fairy lights hanging on the back wall by the old metal stove and a lantern hung above the bed providing more light.
âSo what do you think?â He asked, shrugging his shoulders while wearing blue jeans and a red tea shirt tucked inside his belt buckle.
Spinning around on my feet I quickly hugged him and he slowly hugged me back until I pulled back from the embrace. âItâs really cute. Thank you.â
âGood I was worried you ainât gonna like it.â He smiled resting his hands on my hips moving one to point to a cooler in the corner. âBefore I forget I also scored some of my Memawâs leftover brisket that we can heat up in the stove cause I found some matches too.â
I giggled, wanting our lives to always be like this. Not regretting that it took us away to get to this moment. âYouâre the best boyfriend ever.â
âSo do you wanna eat?â He asked me.
âActually I was thinkinâ we could do something else first if youâre up for it.â I lightly smirked up at him.
Georgie asked curiously. âWhat did you have in mind? - oh yeah we can do that.â
I wrapped my arms around him and pressed my lips against his.
He kissed me back passionately and he gently dropped me down to the bed. My back hit the soft silk sheets before I rose up from the bed staring at him softly and brought a hand to his cheek stroking it softly. He leaned into my touch and he lifted his shirt over his head and threw it to the ground.
âI'll go slow with you.â He reassured me, grabbing my hand with his. âWe can stop anytime if you want. I know weâve only been on one date.â
âI want to do this.â I said, wishing my heart would stop beating so rapidly like I was scared.
My best friend still silently looked at me, slowly kicking his boots off. âYouâre sure you wanna do this?â
âYes. I want you to be my first.â My hands started to trace his form, I began to run his fingers up and down his chest softly while I began to feel his hand start to crawl underneath my shirt. He lifted my shirt off my head, throwing it to the ground only once breaking the kiss
He hovered over me and brought his lips down upon mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and embraced more into the kiss. I felt a hard rock positioned at my lower religion, he placed his member at my center and looked up at me. âDarling, this will hurt a little. Just tap my shoulder twice if you want to stop.â
He nodded and aligned himself against me before thrusting into me softly , I hissed out in pain as I felt him breaking through my wall, tears began to well in my eyes. âIf Iâm lucky enough Iâm gonna marry you someday.â He moved slowly against her, I bit down on my lip hard trying to bear through the pain.
Within moments I felt the pain suddenly vanish and began to feel pleasure. I began to move against him and leaned up pressing my lips down upon his. I came moaning out loudly as I felt a wave of pleasure come over me. He came seconds later as I felt him emptying inside of med, both moaning and groaning until we fell back onto the mattress together.
âIâd say yes if you proposed.â I whispered cuddling up into his chest and we fell asleep under the camping blankets he had put on the bed.
