Ingredients: . Crepe Batter: 150g pancake mix 1 egg 400cc milk 20cc butter, melted . Matcha Whipped Cream: 200ml heavy cream 4 Tbsp sugar 3 Tbsp matcha . A few strawberries matcha for garnish whipped cream for garnish . Directions: 1. Cut strawberries in half. 2. Combine all ‘matcha whipped cream’ ingredients, beat for 8 minutes, then let cool. 3. Combine ‘crepe batter’ ingredients in a bowl. 4. Pour crepe batter in a preheated pan, and, cook both sides in medium heat. 5. Allow the cooked crepes to cool. 6. Layer each crepe, then apply matcha whipped cream on top, repeat 4 times, then roll. 7. Repeat the same procedure, now with 5 crepes, then insert the first roll inside, before rolling everything together into one big roll. 8. Cut the roll into slices, top with whipped cream garnish, matcha powder, and strawberries. . Matcha lesson nr 1: What is matcha?* 🤓 - Unlike any other types of tea, matcha is a finely ground powder made from stone-grinding green tea leaves grown under unique conditions. 🌱 The entire leaf is consumed, carrying with it a more sophisticated flavor profile as well as higher nutritional properties than any other types of tea. 🍵 - It has long been consumed as natural medicine. 🤒 Buddhist monk described matcha as “a healing medicine for a healthy life and art for long life.” ☺️ Modern scientific research has confirmed matcha as a great source of naturally occurring antioxidants (approximately 137 times that of regular green tea). 🙀 - Matcha also contributes to the state of ‘calming alertness’ that lasts for hours without the “lull” that usually follows a strong coffee after an hour or two. 🙄 Because of this effect, matcha has historically been used by Zen Buddhist monks and samurai warriors to enhance their mental focus before practicing meditation sessions or stepping into arenas. 💁🏻 It looks like that is the reason why it always works for my sleepy afternoon. 😴 - The recipe link in bio. 🤗 - *This is not a academical work.
