The sun sunk beneath the horizon, an orange teardrop coloring the country hills in a stained scarlet. No moon came to replace it, and the evening encroached like a blanket over the waning daylight. Something foul smelled on the brisk breeze, something rotten. The sort of thing that kept you inside with a vague, dusky sense of unease. A superstitious man might call it an omen. 

In the depths of that restive night, a red shade cut a line through the neon acropolis of the Tokyo skyline. Well, lower than that, mostly. The Tokyo midline lacked the same pizzazz as a descriptor. It seemed to search for something, though one would be hard-pressed to assess as much. Even the sensitive saw a thin vermilion shade there and gone. A foggy refraction off of one of the many blaring lights, easily dismissed.

The detective, leaning over his diabolical perch in a grungy unkempt apartment, saw more. 

The twilight concentrated near his shoulder, mixing and swimming like a heat haze until it coalesced into iron and burgundy leather. 

“Master.” Mordred spoke. They were technically compromised, but that left nothing to be concerned about. The parasite was no threat.

The one for Masterverse, right?

I'm already headcanoning him as King Adam. Adam when he's an adult, King of Eternia, married to Teela, and raising a son of his own.

.. Well  this sucked.  Taking a deep breath he shouted out, “  AM NOT GOING TO DRINK! I WILL DO ANYTHING BUT DRINK , I’ll walk around naked  since you’re a friend and I’m comfortable with that but drinking is a big NO  . . “
