Today I went in hard on figuring out hair cause compared to literally every other part of the body I am atrocious at hair. I can spend hours trying to get it right with references and still mess it up royally. I thought skulls were the reason I was having so much trouble with faces but it was hair the whole time!!!!!!! I’m definitely very glad I studied the skull and it really helped these studies too but damn I just had basically no idea how hair worked.
I did a mix of both life drawing and studies of other artists to not only understand how hair works but also how people generally stylize it. I also did far more than just these but these are the more polished ones.
FUN FACT Blue and orange is the color scheme of every single modern movie/tv show/and commercial and it ruins all of them for me because I can’t not think about how every color is just a shade of blue, orange, a neutral, or a splash color like red. Every time I see a commercial where it’s a bunch of people in blue and white clothing in a blue and white room I die a little inside. Stop being so lazy modern media!!!!!
