I had way too much fun with Snapchat's Easter filters the other night. I wanted to do a quick and easy deep clean and lightweight moisture regimen, since it was warm enough to keep the windows open overnight. I do love the Innisfree green tea line, which was one of my first KBeauty purchases long ago, and is great for my combination skin the spring and summer months. I also actually used the Dr. Jart+ Trans-foam Clay as a cleanser (like you're supposed to) and it did a really nice job of cleansing without over-drying. We then proceeded to listen to the last episode of S-Town, however, so I proceeded to ugly-cry most of it all off anyway.

안녕하세요 여러분!
I view selfcare as a form of productivity. I have a skincare routine I do nightly, I make sure I drink enough water and I try to get as much exercise as I (an art school student) can get.
This week was especially rough, but I’ve been pushing through. Tomorrow I have my two favorite classes and its also my roommate’s birthday! We are having a small party (probably just us lol)!
I hope the rest of the week is good for you all. Make sure you take care of yourself, your skin, body and mental health all matters and will help you study better. 😊

In the midst of a busy work-from-home Friday, I was feeling the need for some midday rose multimasking. I recently picked up some new rose products from Memebox (final hurrah haul rundown coming soon), so I wanted to work on using some of these old faves up before busting out the new ones. After a quick cleanse with the Velieve cleanser, I did the Origins Original Skin mask (deep cleaning & exfoliating), then the Daltokki Rose Gel Mask (refreshing & soothing), the Secret Key Rose toner, and finished up with this new Jayjun Rose sheet mask, which had tons of gel-like essence that wasn't super heavy or greasy and absorbed really nicely. I followed up with my favorite rose-flavored faves: Aromatica serum and eye cream, and Korres 24-hr brightening rose moisturizer. It was middle of the day and I wasn't going anywhere until later, so I didn't worry about SPF. Which I know is probably not ideal since I get wrinkles and sun damage just by being awake since UV rays can permeate basically everything. Still, my face was fresh and bright for the evening and I didn't have to worry about any additional nighttime regimen—multitasking AND time saving, y'all!
How to Use a Peel-Off Mask on Sensitive Skin WITHOUT Ruining Your Barrier 🚫✨ (A K-Beauty Creator’s Secret Guide)
Ripping off a peel-off mask feels insanely satisfying... until your face turns into a literal tomato. 🍅
If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, you’ve probably banned peel-off masks from your vanity forever. But what if I told you that you can snatch those stubborn blackheads without triggering a massive breakout or burning your skin barrier?
As a K-beauty creator who once completely wrecked her skin over a poorly formulated mask (truly dark times, I cried tears of pure irritation 😭), I spent months cracking the code. Turns out, it's not just about the product—it's about the technique.
Here is my fool-proof, irritation-free 3-step ritual to get that smooth, glass-skin texture without the pain:
Step 1: The Prep 💨 NEVER put it on dry, bare skin. Use a warm steam towel for 2–3 minutes to melt and loosen up hard sebum first.
Step 2: The Application 🖌️ Ditch your fingers. Use a silicone brush to apply a thin, even layer where your skin peeks through slightly. Uneven thickness means uneven drying, which equals PAIN when peeling.
Step 3: The Gentle Peel 🛑 Forget those viral videos ripping it upwards! Hold your skin taut with one hand, and slowly glide the mask off sideways, following your natural skin texture.
💡 The Golden Rule: The real magic happens after the peel. Your pores are empty and vulnerable. Lock that baby down with a heavy dose of Cica, Panthenol, or Ceramide barrier cream immediately! No Retinol or AHAs tonight, please! 🙅♀️

Your “1 Sheet Mask a Day” habit might be damaging your skin.
Everyone says: “Daily sheet masks = glass skin.”
But here’s what nobody tells you👇
At first, your skin looks hydrated… Then suddenly:
❌ Skin gets more sensitive ❌ You feel dry without a mask ❌ Redness and breakouts appear ❌ Tight, dehydrated skin gets worse
Why?
Because overusing sheet masks can overhydrate your skin barrier.
Too much moisture exposure = weakened barrier.
Your skin starts losing its ability to hold hydration on its own.
Especially risky if your masks contain:
⚠️ Strong brightening ingredients ⚠️ Acid/exfoliating formulas ⚠️ Heavy fragrance or essential oils ⚠️ High alcohol content
That “glow” may actually be temporary swelling + irritation.
Healthy skin isn’t about doing MORE.
It’s about protecting your skin barrier.
✔️ Use calming masks 2–3x a week ✔️ Save intensive masks for irritated days ✔️ Focus daily on barrier repair creams
Sometimes the skincare habit ruining your skin… is the one everyone praises online. 😳
