So Samumenco finally dealt with the Goto's girlfriend issue in the only way they know how: by throwing a freaking curveball right at your freaking kokoro.  From the start, I've shipped masagou but to be honest this episode didn't made me feel "ALL ABOARD THE MASAGOU TRAIN! CHOO! CHOO!" so much. Am I happy that the biggest obstacle to my ship is actually non-existent gone? Yes, but - SHIT - there was just mostly pain. Lots and lots of pain. My heart goes out for Goto. Like bobawaffles said in this post. Goto has been the most grounded character in the show. He's the non-superhero character, the one that was supposed to be ordinary. But despite his "normalcy", he had done so much. He is Masayoshi's and Mari's rock. When everything is going down the drain, he is the person that these superheroes go to. He might complain a lot about them bothering him but he'll never turn them away. He's the kind of person that will give you time to heal your wounds but will not let you turn your back from your problem. He's that kind of person.  Then episode 19 happened, and we see that this strong person is actually the weakest of them all. It hurts. He had been carrying that burden since highschool, it's just so much for one person to endure. Remember when Mari told him "What you're doing is wrong" but Goto just brushed it off and continued texting? It's because he knows that what he was doing was wrong. He's actively aware of the delusion he has created. He's aware of it but it's the only way he knows how to cope with the pain. He cannot stop. Good gods in mount olympus, the samumenco writing staff are not here to play around this time. 

AND THAT SCENE WHERE MASAYOSHI JUST STOOD THERE WATCHING GOTO. That was just torture. Masayoshi holds Goto very dear to him. So much that Goto's happiness is his happiness as well. But when he learned about the truth, he just stood there, unable to do anything.
