High School State of Mind 3
Summary: It is Your Senior year as it becomes Peter’s Freshman year. You didn’t want to be that senior, but something about him just made you feel something that no other guy your age ever has.
A/N: I hope you guys enjoy!! First post of 2018!!! It’s gonna be a good year i have a feeling.
It had been a good week and your whole group was still buzzing over the fact that Spiderman was in your room. You would happily tell the story over and over again. Even when Peter heard about the story, he couldn’t help but smile that he was the person on your mind. Well the Spiderman version of him was what was stuck in your mind. As long as some form of him was what kept you up smiling to yourself.
You close your locker softly as you turn and are soon met with a smiling Chris.
“Hello Chris.” You smile as he holds out his arm to you. You take it and soon walk with him.
“So, i’ve heard all about this Spiderman thing. Please tell me you saw his face?!” He questions as you turn the corner. You shake your head as the night recaps in your brain for the third time today alone.
“I wish! I bet you he’s super cute!” You say as you turn another corner. Chris nods his head as you both soon stand in front of your Study Hall room.
“Well, if he reappears, you have to call me instantly, okay?” Chris asks. You nod your head before hugging him. He hugs you back and soon pulls away as the warning bell chimes. He waves bye and you turn to enter the room.
You slump down in your seat as you let out a huff. Your friends all look at you with curious eyes.
“You okay babe?” Sophie asks. You shrug as you look up at her. Your eyes soon leave hers as the meet Peter’s, who is sitting directly behind her.
“I think so. I just. I don’t get it. Like out of everyone’s apartment. He picked mine to go into?” You say as you flick your eyes back to Sophie's. “I am going to just let it go. It’s not important now.”
“Besides, we do have a homecoming to finish practicing for!” CC chimes happily as she wipes out her drum sticks. You all give her a weird look before you smile.
She starts banging on the desk, earning curious looks from the rest of the room as well before you shot up.
“Don’t you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me. I said your holding back, she said shut up and dance with me.” You sing out as you stand up from your chair. Your friends take that as que to go grab their guitars. “This woman's my destiny. She said ooh shut up and dance with me!”
The room starts to break out into cheers and claps as Sophie and Caitlin start to play, walking around the classroom. You hop on top of the desks and start to dance around.
“We were victims of the night. The chemical, physical kryptonite. Helpless to the bass and fading light.” You sang as you dance around the desks. You soon stop in front of Peters desk and hop off. You reach a hand out to him. “Oh we were bound to get together. Bound to get together!”
“She took my arm. I don’t know how it happened. We took the floor and she said!!” Peter sang out. You stop dancing for a second then a wide smile spreads across your face.
“Oh don’t you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me. I said your holding back, she said shut up and dance with me!” You dance around with Peter, he spins you quickly.

“DANCE WITH ME!” You laugh loudly as you guys dance around the room. You pull up a few more students as you all dance around the room.
You look back at Peter and smile as you bop around. Too bad the fun would soon end as the teacher enters the room.
“EXCUSE ME!!” She yells, causing the rest of the girls to stop playing. “What do you think you’re doing?! This is not music class!! This is study hall!”
“But ma’am, we were just having fun.” You squeak as you look at the rest of the room. The group nods their heads.
“Yeah. It’s not everyday a super talented band plays live in your classroom.” Peter chims in. You send him a sweet smile before you turn back to your teacher.
“I don’t mind if you listen to music on your phones. But this…. Consider this a warning. You’re lucky your group of friends are seniors Ms. Y/L/N.” She says, narrowing her eyes at your friends. You nod your head as you look down in shame. “Take your seat, i want silence for the rest of the period.”
You all silently return to your seats, not daring to even look at each other. All except for you and Peter. You share smiles before returning to your work.
Another week had passed as word of your amazing band break in study hall had gotten around the whole school. Pretty much everyone wished they had been in their to see that. You went from being slightly popular to the number one group of the school. There was even a Youtube Video circulating around of it.
Sophie made here way towards the group before sitting excitedly.
“GUYS!! We are the number one group here! It’s going around that that Liz Allan wants us at her party!” Sophie exclaims. You all look at each other with wide smiles.
“That is so exciting!” You exclaim as Liz starts to walk over to your table.
“Well, looks like that cat is out of the bag! I couldn’t help but overhear the moment my name left your mouth. I would love it if you guys could play. Of course there will be food and drinks as well!” Liz explains.
“YES!” CC exclaims as she answers for the rest of the girls. Peter passes by the group before rushing over to Ned.
“Ned, did you hear that! We have to get to that party! That means i can really spend some time with Y/N.” Peter says as he looks over at his best friend.
“Just because you shared a moment with her does not mean that she wants to be friends or anything Peter. She is still a senior after all.” Ned sighs as he looks at book. “Besides, good luck getting in that party. Just because you’re Spiderman does not mean a single thing… Wait a second!”
“Don’t you dare!! No NO!” Peter exclaims as he already knows what Neds about to say.
“Can we go?” Ned calls out to the girls. You look at them. Liz gives him a weird look as she is about to open her mouth. “Peter knows Spiderman.” Everyone’s eyes shift over to Peter’s burning face.
“Their friends!” Ned says.
“Yeah, just like Coach Wilson and Captain America are?” Flash chimes as he rolls his eyes. Everyone around you start to chuckle lightly.
“I met him a cou- couple times.” He looks at you. “Through the Stark internship. I’m not really supposed to talk about it.” Peter hisses through his teeth as he glares back at Ned.
“That’s awesome. Hey, maybe you should invite him to Liz’s party?” Flash asks as he looks over at Liz.
“Yeah i um having one tonight. You should totally come.” She says as she sends Flash a warning look.
“Yeah, you should invite your personal friend Spiderman.” Flash tests.
“It’s okay you guys. We all know Peter is way too busy for parties anyways.” You chim in, sending him a sympathetic look. “So yeah.”
“Oh come, He’ll be there.” The bell for next rings. “Right Parker?” Flash bumps Peter with his shoulder as he pushes past him. You all stand up and start to shuffle out. You give Peter one last look before you all head out of the room.
“Dude! What are you doing?!” Peter exclaims as he and Ned head towards the lockers.
“Trying to help you out! Did you not see Y/N face when i brought up you knew Spiderman? She got all flustered and couldn’t keep her eyes off of you.” Ned explains as the reach Peters locker. Peter goes to speak but is lost for words. “Dude, you’re an Avenger. If any one of us has a chance with a Senior girl, it’s you.”
