The Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination is, on paper, a small private militia with no real goal other than serving their clients to the best of their ability. In practice, it's more akin to a cult of highly trained warriors. Once a member of HIVE has been hired for a job, be it for righteous or evil reasons (usually the latter all things considered), the organization pulls some strings to make sure they have plenty of backup. Their ideology is quite simple, really - obedience makes good, and might makes right.
Leadership
HIVE Mistress - The mysterious leader of the organization. Who she was before her ascendance is a matter of debate. Some say she was just an ordinary person given a higher calling. Others that she was a dangerous mercenary. Still others ponder if she's an alien. Deadpool makes cracks that she's his brother's ex and that the divorce was him dodging a bullet.
Brother Blood - High-ranking headmaster of the HIVE Academy for Extraordinary Young People, a barely disguised training facility for future HIVE agents. There are rumors that the reasons behind his title are tied to a religion he practices and that he's fairly high up there, too, but if that is the case, he's not interested in preaching about it to his students.
Damien Darhk - Heir to the Darhk fortune, the frontman of the organization, and the finance guy as far as anyone can figure out. Some wonder if his nature as a capitalistic swarmy know it all brings annoyance to his allies, but if that's the case, none of them have mentioned it. He also has a really hard name to spell out correctly the first time, notoriously.
Agents
Beetle - Air-based troopers of HIVE, given a variety of armaments but always with specialized flight tech based on the designs of rouge engineer Abner Jenkins prior to his arrest and him reforming.
Firefly - Fire troopers of HIVE, originating from a Gotham gang that got significant funding from HIVE command. Some use flight tech of similar design to Beetles, while others go for just flamethrowers.
Killer Moth - Low-grade soldiers of HIVE, usually ill-trained or ill-equipped. One agent of this rank in particular is notable for having consumed a substance that enhanced his physical capabilities and altering his appearance.
Wasp Troopers - The main infantry troopers for when situations call for more organized action. Helmets contain a specialized HUD Readout allowing multiple troops to act in near-synchronized coordination, leading to their "Wasp" designation.
