In 1995 I got my first puppy, Raven. Around 2001 I got a second puppy, Puff Daddy, who was found in the wild in the NC mountains, a few months later I adopted a pot bellied pig, Petunia, who was about six years old. Over time, all of my babes died, leaving me full of gratitude for having been able to share time with these beautiful creatures. After 3.5 years of living without any pets, this little girl Marty shined her bright light in my direction and I could not resist. Some of us grow up our whole lives with pets. Mine was like that! Even with my allergies growing up, mom and dad got a Bichon frisée so that my allergies were not bothered. Animals shine a light and bring unconditional love.
