soon i won’t be here anymore. i’ll be living with non-therians who don’t understand me. being around people all the time feels frightening, like being forced out into the open with nowhere to hide, painfully aware of how not-like-them i am. i worry i’ll have to keep my true self tucked away, claws retracted, like a wild animal kept indoors.

I don’t know how I’ll cope without my forest, and how to stay myself when i’m somewhere that doesn’t feel like me.
