Ana de Armas - GQ Mexico 2018

Back from watching #KnivesOut at the local #VueCinema (@vue) and really enjoyed it. Felt like a classic #Whodunnit, but one that certainly doesn't take itself too seriously. Not a straight up comedy, even though there a quite a few laugh out loud moments, it's no where near as farcical as the classic #Clue movie (also worth a watch). It's a top notch cast that plays it straight, and mostly against type as well (I bet they relished playing their roles), with #DanielCraig as the private investigator #BenoitBlanc with a Southern drawl - an accent that isn't too ludicrous (maybe), and #AnaDeArmas 😍😍 as #MartaCabrera, Thrombey's nurse, as the two leads. It's a fun movie, written & directed by #RianJohnson, that seems to zips by all too quickly - certainly didn't feel like a just over 2 hours! Celebrating Nurses’ Week with Rian Johnson’s American mystery film, Knives Out character, Nurse Marta Cabrera, played by Ana de Alma 🥳 There are so few depictions of nurses in movie roles that aren’t just the sexy porno play thing, nor the sinister side, nor the damsel in distress, that makes this rare and dicey portrayal of a visiting home care nurse jab close to home.
