#whatstudying
I’ve been allowing myself a break drawing every day to keep myself from getting restless while studying.
It hasn’t been working all that well haha.

I like that “sharpening your axe” uhhhh… Thing. I’ll keep it in mind when I have to do important things!
If I remember right, I think it was Abraham Lincoln who said it originally (I probably remembered it incorrectly, but oh well I’m sure he doesn't mind me misquoting him).
But yeah, that’s how I apply myself to things that I think will be difficult. For homework or projects I spend time preparing for it, or learning it, so that I understand it better and can do it easier. For coding projects, I make functions that I know I’ll be repeating often, so I don’t spend time wondering why something isn't working (when it’s usually a typo). I can test the functions without having to redo anything.
It makes larger things seem smaller, and that’s what I like about the approach!
This is not what we tend to think of when someone says 'house show.' #grandpiano #ATL #marstarr #partialwar #merrylilchristmas (at lawrenceville, GA)
