The 12-inch (1/6th scale) Diamond Eye action figure from Marmit's Super Action Heroes line, circa 1998.
Love this line because it featured a lot of tokusatsu/anime characters that Medicom or Bandai did not make 1/6th scale figures of, such as Silver Kamen, Silver Kamen Giant, Rainbowman (and several Dashes), Zone Fighter and Eightman.
However, there were some drawbacks. First, the figures didn't have hands (and in some cases, feet), so you just slid hollow molded gloves (or boots) over the end of the arms (or legs).
Second, the plasticy/rubbery material used for many of the suits didn't age well. It had a tendency to crash at the joints, and the color would flake off. It's darn near impossible to find a figure as in great shape as the one pictured above, and when you do it's gonna cost you an arm and part of your leg.
Etoko-chan Dolls (and other Marmit Dolls)
Another doll from Japan. Etoko-chan was made by the company "Marmit" around the early 2000s (I'm not sure the exact dates). I found an interesting reddit post about the company HERE. Their dolls are anime styled and really cool looking! I only have photos of the Etoko-chan model, more models are on the Reddit page. I found the images off of Pinterest. (Btw I just found out r/Dolls of Asia existed!)

Poseidon (Babel II) soft vinyl figure made by Marmit
I bought the Mahou no Mako-chan doll from Marmit's Memorial Super Heroines line. They released a number of characters such as Rei from Evangelion and Megu and Non from Majokko Megu-chan sometime in the late 90's.
I was on the fence over this doll for awhile. The Megu-chan dolls were made with more love IMO. They have prettier eyes and actually come with their magical pendants. Mako didn't come with any sort of accessories except for a stand, which is way too short for her. I also feel like they could've done a better job with her eyes and face.
However! I do really like this doll. She has painted on "sideburns" that I didn't like at first but now I think they look fine. Her outfit is extremely accurate, right down to the buttons on her shirt.
I'm in the process of fixing her up too. She has some glue residue in her hair and I'm trying to find a way to style her hair closer to the anime. I'm also going to look into replacing her socks (they're horribly stained) and finding her a star-shaped pendant. I'll try to post some updates.
