The Undertaker is a perfect example of the rare breed of truly legendary wrestler that carved out their legacy almost entirely in the WWE. Though he spent some time in promotions based in the southern US, such as WCW and WCCW, and even spent a brief period in NJPW, it wasn't until he arrived in the WWF as the Undertaker, flanked by Paul Bearer and featuring an intricate past that was almost unheard of for the sort of extravagant wrestling personalities that he could surely be counted among the ranks of, did he find true success. Though his style has changed throughout the years, he has always made clear attempts to psychologically manipulate his opponents in the ring while also dominating them with his physical strength. He's often met with his half-brother Kane in the ring throughout the years, whether as an opponent or a tag team partner.

While the Phenom made a huge impact immediately upon entry into the WWF - defeating Hulk Hogan to become the promotion's champion just a year after his debut - his biggest claim to fame is his oft-mentioned Wrestlemania win-loss record, currently standing at twenty two wins and one loss, having gone undefeated at the show for decades until losing to Brock Lesnar in 2014. This unprecedented streak of wins began with Taker soundly defeating Jimmy Snuka at Wrestlemania VII, further notable opponents including Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels (twice), CM Punk, Edge, and Jake Roberts. "The Streak" spanned all of the incarnations of the Undertaker's character: from the Deadman to the leader of the Ministry of Darkness to the motorcycle-riding "American Badass" and back to the Deadman evolved. It also encompassed no less than three of his seven world title victories.
