my family is REALLY small. im an only child, and my extended family also doesnt have a lot of kids. cause idk

went to Japanese saturday school and was the only wasian in my class. there was one other girl who was wasian, she was also neurodivergent. Her name was wisty (short for wisteria) and she used to show me her magic tricks in the back of the bus (special interest). miss her.

It was wild in a way and very old fashioned, but when we read from the textbook at saturday school we had to stand up at our desks and my heart would RACE.

going to japan I was treated like a young emperor cause I was "white" to them. It really twisted my 7 year old ego.

growing up kids would ask me shit like if Tofu was made out of fish and point out rice in my hair.

I liked to eat "Tamago-kake-Gohan" for breakfast which is literally a raw egg and soysauce on rice and it HITS BITCH. But i understand that sounds gross.

I had a neurodivergent Ojiichan who would play GO with me when I would visit Japan in the summer. He was an electrical engineer.

my parents made me do a lot of extra-curiculars growing up. Ive been to everytype of sports camp there is. I settled on vball cause my mom didnt want me to get concussions (did anyway lol).

also played lots of instruments. I was pretty good at violin, and flute. Apparently my piano teacher dumped me when i was like 8 cause I "wasn't serious enough" LOL

i had a panic disorder in middle/highschool and it came a lot from the pressure I felt from my parents but also cause I felt so weird and different and had trouble emotionally connecting with alot of ppl.

alot of my wasian friends parents have bad marriages/ are divorced.

I def have the protein bars eating disorder.

i had a yoga-themed birthday party at like 8 and had a melt down cause everyone wanted me to open their present first (I wanted them to go one ☝️at a time). theres literally a picture of me holding my ears and panicking while my friends decended on me with their presents.
