I already ranked them a while ago on a tier list but that may not have been the most efficient way to share my opinion since some of the ships that were in the same tier would actually receive different ratings from me on a scale of 10. Canon Ships

Jlaire (Jim x Claire)

2/10 sorry guys I ain’t playing games with this ship first of all I hate Jim second of all I just can’t get behind their writing in wizards 💔 Claire deserves literally anyone else but chudface pumpkin ass over here.

Staja (Steve x Aja)

6/10 they’re not as bad in my opinion as Jlaire but their writing is pisspoor. I have no reason to really care about them or anticipate their relationship it’s just kind of there. Also the pregnancy.

Stricklake (Strickler x Barbara)

8/10 I actually really like them!! I never talk about them only because I’m not good at drawing either Strickler or Barbara but I think their relationship was the most interesting and complex out of the canon relationships. I really wish we got more of them in season 3 and 3Below after they were given all those babies from the Darklands.

Darby (Darci x Toby)

10/10 I LOVE DARBY!!! My favorite of the canon ships :D a lot of people don’t care about them that much and granted that’s probably because they barely get screen time but I think they’re super sweet and I wish there was more content for them 🥹

10/10 not much to say about them since I’m not as passionate about these characters as other people on here are but they might as well be canon I want these guys as MY parents

7/10 I’m cool with them I think they’re cute and could definitely work I just don’t care for it as much as other ships

8/10 ok so they’re actually really sweet!! I’m not someone who will die on the hill of this ship or anything but if they had gotten together I would have cheered

100/10 DUDE THIS MIGHT AS WELL BE CANON WHAT??? The toxic yaoi ever, the only enemies to lovers I can accept (except for one that I will mention later). Steve DEFINITELY has something going on with Jim and for some reason they want to pretend it’s hatred

11/10 ULTRA SIGMA PEAK SHIP !! They would bring out the best in each other for real for real 😼 Claire’s ambition would keep Aja motivated and Aja’s curiosity would remind Claire to live a little

7/10 uh I put this here for nostalgia’s sake because I shipped them at some point in my life for a reason I don’t really know 🤔 their energetic attitudes would compliment each other well

Krelake (Krel x Jim)

8.5/10 the same as Ajim, I think if they had more screen time together they’d be pretty cool and I wish they had literally any interactions because they’re so aesthetically pleasing honestly. The extra .5 is because Krel rebuilt Jim’s amulet they’re so yaoi

Pepperlake (Eli x Jim)

1000/10 I LOVE THESE GUYS OMG GKSNNFR NANDKS theyre so sweet and I really wish Eli’s character was developed better so that we could have more depth between him and Jim. I stand by the headcanon that Eli had a crush on Jim and I would pay great money for a version of Trollhunters where Pepperlake and Warstaff were canon.

9/10 Believe it or not I’d totally hop on this concept!! I think they could be super cool as two smart people amongst idiots and impulsive lameos. Their colors are also aesthetically pleasing, if only they actually TALKED TO EACH OTHER!!!

HammerHack (Krel x Toby)

10/10 gas af bro I used to fein for these little bugs so bad 🤩 I think they’d enjoy the wonders of technology together, and possibly co-op in project sekai

ShadowPepper (Claire x Eli)

5/10 I don’t hate it at all but I really don’t see the vision. I only put it hear because I explicitly like the dynamic they have in my Arcadiapocalypse AU, and they’re not even a ship there 💀

JackHammer (Eli x Toby)

7/10 I used to love these guys and they’re still a thing in my Yellowjackets!TOA AU, but I don’t like them as much as I like other dynamics, which is unfortunate because it’s such a waste of a good ship name 😞 every now and then though I still get a buzz from Toby and Eli working together on that film

Kreli (Krel x Eli)

7/10 I lied in that tier list they’re actually cute I just don’t like them as much as other ships with either of these two characters. Even so, I love the little bond they started to form in season 2 of 3Below!!

MareClaire (Mary x Claire)

10/10 I LOVE MY SAPPHICS BRO!! Mary holding Claire’s face pretending to kiss her in the Grit-Shakra episode will never not be iconic. Also they’re just super cute, and thank goodness for my Arcadia Stage AU where I can make them canon

MarJim (Mary x Jim)

10/10 I still go crazy for even a scrap of content of them to this day (even though people don’t make content for them, see this is more of a hypothetical statement) I just think they’re neat, partially because of a dream I had a long time ago, which jumpstarted the concept of my Shadow!Mary AU

Tobmare (Toby x Mary)

10/10 Mary would totally allow Toby to embrace his inner diva, and they could totally talk shit about people (*cough* Jim) behind their backs. I loved their small interactions in Reckless Club, and I just think they’d be super silly

Daire (Darci x Claire)

10/10 I LOVE THESE GIRLS TOO OMG IM SORRY I CANT HELP IT!! I love Daire I’ve always loved Daire they’re canon in my Yellowjackets!TOA AU for a reason.

Shanconnie (Shannon x Connie)

4/10 I mean they’re cute but I feel like I can’t get behind it without knowing literally anything about Connie. Heck I didn’t even know her name until I looked it up. I can’t get invested in the ship without any sort of substance to make me care about it

Shanmare (Shannon x Mary)

7/10 now you see THIS is a ship I can work with. We can see their relationship, it’s familiar faces, and it’s a dynamic that has been explored prior to any romantic activity. Not to mention they’d be so iconic, there needs to be more yuri in the trollhunters fandom STAT!! POST HASTE!!!

8/10 oh Mary 100% had a crush on Aja in Season 1 of 3Below I stand by that opinion. I think they would be so fun as like a joke ship that actually becomes canon at the end 😋

9/10 are we kidding? This is gas why aren’t we drawing these guys? Even platonically like Seamus pretty much glazing Steve when he goes to beat up Krel, Logan smacking Steve’s ass (even if not by choice), Logan and Seamus being pretty much inseparable? BRO THE OPPORTUNITIES NEVER CEASE!!

and right off the bat I'll state that Eli is Acorn and Seamus is Marty

Shannon can be Durian

moving on to the actual relevant things

so darby is mizisua because they're like top 10 most likely to kill themselves for each other :D and I LOVE making them codependent but in a way that's toxic to outside perspectives but healthy for them !

darci is mizi because one of the only things they develop about her character in the show is that she wanted someone to like her for her personality rather than her looks or popularity, hence is why she took up the mole mascot costume and why she liked Toby so much. she's also cheerful and silly around those she's close to while appearing mature to acquaintances. she'd also probably be prone to blaming herself for things. all the damn time.

toby is sua because he's the best. and he's pretty (imo). and he was pretty even while he was dying idfc. ALSO he's emotional and would likely do anything if Darci told him to do it. but he can also be very selfish when it comes to the people he cares about, not always looking after their best interest in an effort to keep them to himself.

mareclaire is hyunluka because they seem to be the duo within their friend trio that bicker the most with each other, with mary often backing down in the end. two headstrong personalities ought to make for an interesting dynamic when put in a life or death situation. I also love making Mary a freak in my AUs as Claire just sits there and frowns in disapproval.

mary is luka because of her being a big social media obsessed drama queen. she'd be very popular, and known for her appearance and talent, which quickly builds a snarky and overconfident facade, similar to her normal behavior in the show. she very easily drops her usually more dominating presence when Claire does something. literally anything. she's all for yelling at Claire in confusion until Claire makes a shadow portal and then she's all like "you always were my best friend :D" also now darci gets to beat mary up, which should be fun. AND mary gets to torment the special someone who I'm making Till. Even more fun!

claire is hyuna (+ enrique is hyunwoo) because Claire would definitely be rebellious and a partyer come college years had she been given the time and opportunity. she's very loyal and loves to bring joy to all of her friends, encouraging them to loosen up or whatever. however she can also be very cold and disdainful to those who have done her wrong. she's also highly stubborn, firm in her methods and would probably not listen to reason when pitted against her heart. she's dealt with Mary's antics for years yet she's still friends with her I mean

jeves is ivantill because oh by golly the tension between them is so thick it needs to be chopped with an axe. they're internalized homophobia to the max, and could have been yearning to the max if the writers didn't work for netflix.

steve is till because he's loud, "ugly" by certain standards, crude, brash, chaotic, and impulsive. while it seems out of nowhere for him to have a crush on Darci, we have to remember that Steve loves people who can kick his ass. maybe Darci beat some kid up at some point and Steve thought it was pretty tuff idk. steve is also not in touch with his emotions enough to comprehend them, and would likely not be able to decipher a crush unless it was planted into his head by others.

jim is ivan because he WOULD die for the one he loves. as we know. he also looks collected, calculating, perhaps a bit aloof to those who don't know him well enough. however he also has a sillier, sassier side to him, one that can be embraced in a friendly and/or flirtatious way. also they both have black hair. and jim is DEFINITELY going through some sort of black (bath water) sorrow idk about you

AND because everyone is scrambled around, yes, you can ship Darci and Mary for the yuriful tension that comes from beating someone up if that makes you feel oh so joyous. you can also ship Jim and Toby in the afterlife for funsies.
