One new thing I learned today, is my crazy respect for marching band students. I just got my marching snare today for next year (yippie!) and I almost died carrying it home!!! Idk if I’m just weak or highschool band kids are just crazy strong.

You know how to tape sticks??? Which way do you recommend and are there any video tutorials you can recommend?

the first one if you need the beginning shit watch i guess (i use the one where you don’t tape the fulcrum area and tape the bottom) but when he gets to taping techniques try to scrub through until you get to the double taping part
the second one i like a lot better except for the poor vid quality, especially his advice on following the line!! that’s important. and he’s p encouraging to people just learning how to tape sticks.
with those two vids you should be aight. if you (or anyone else happening to be taping sticks) need anything more hmu off anon with a dm or something i can send you a video of whatever you need because i’m about to retape another pair or i can send pictures of how the “pattern” should look
