If your Pokemon Go account was banned due to cheating or bad luck, there’s good news! Niantic is systematically unbanning accounts. Violators who have been banned by Niantic now has a chance to retrieve their Pokemon Go accounts.

That is only if Niantic deems it, meaning their violation, is forgivable.

The game developer wrote in a blog post that they are in full swing in strengthening their security which includes banning bots, blocking data scraping operations, and banning user accounts that are involved with suspicious activities.

Now that Niantic tweaked its infrastucture, it is possible to unban these accounts. However, if your account is linked to apps that gather player data, bot activities, or code manipulation, chances are your account will stay banned.A part of the post says that Niantic banned accounts associated with third-party map tools. These third-party apps triggered an DDoS-like effect on the Pokemon Go servers and, as a consequence, led to a permanent ban for some accounts.
