Hands down, first and foremost lol - Merlin and Arthur’s relationship/dynamic

The humor in general (but also the pain - I love plot twists, foreshadowing betrayal, and parallels)

Character development/background - I liked Arthurian legends even before I got into this series.  I really appreciated BBC’s take especially on the main characters and knights as well as choice of casting!  As a bonus, I liked the cast just as much too and their camaraderie on/off set, and I still follow them on their new projects when I can. 

The magic (and the dragons - I love Aithusa lots) and jousts/sword fights (Arthur’s fight scenes are always fun to watch)

The aesthetic, coloring, and scenery (fun fact: I did not learn how to gif/edit properly until sometime after the series ended - I definitely got to explore on this for some time)

Instrumental soundtrack (The Bond of Sacrifice is my favorite)

How open ended the series is for fanmade projects and ideas.  Just like any other fandom, this one has been through rough waters and drama at times, but after the series ended, I can definitely say we were overall brought closer together as a family of sorts.  I can’t tell you how many friends I was able to make through this fandom, and it helped me get through a lot of things.
