I bring Tom as support because since I have *so many* chronic problems, doctors/RNs tend to tell me I’m lying or exaggerating or that x thing is “just my period.” My fucking leg could fall off and a doctor would tell me it’s “just my period.” Thankfully he knows not to intervene until a provider starts talking over me.

I just get irked/amused/etc when the doc says “Anything else going on?”
“No, that’s about-”
“WAIT HENRY, WHAT ABOUT THAT BOIL YOU HAD FOUR YEARS AGO. DOC, YOU SHOULD LET ME TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THIS BOIL. IT’S GONE NOW BECAUSE I POPPED IT, BUT I THINK IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT.”
