I don’t normally give the “Newest training tool guaranteed to have your shots split hairs and circumcise mosquitoes” a second look but this one caught my eye. The MantisX is a device that installs on the accessory rail, connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone and tells you exactly what’s happening during your trigger pull and works with both live and dry fire. I’m a decent shooter but like everyone I’d like to be better and the type of feedback this device is supposed to give would help so I can definitely see a use it. Most of the time I train alone so there isn’t someone there to notice if I slap the trigger occasionally or any other minor mistakes. Standing at the line I can generally do a pretty good one hole drill but things spread out a bit as distance increases, in alternative shooting positions or shooting one handed especially support side and this device if it works as advertised would help let me know what’s going on.
