Art Deco mantel clock with stepped black casing, vertical grille details, and a classic square dial.

Louis XV Mantel Clock (mid-18th century) Joseph Waltrin (1720–1789), who served as Clockmaker to the King at the Château de Choisy, provided the mechanical movement for this Rococo timepiece. This object combines German porcelain figures with French metalwork. The design features Meissen porcelain pugs resting on a rocaille base beneath a blooming tree.

3¾-inch dial with enamel chapter ring signed A Paris, open centre, the bell striking movement with outside count wheel and silk suspension, the drum mounted in an open frame surmounted by a brazier and with a ribbon-tied basket, flanked by adorsed gryphons and with a dragon pendulum, the oval base on toupie feet.
