We are real people, we aren't your AIs that push out reused and copied slop content whenever you ask for it- You do not get to treat any writer like they're soulless machines if you do not like their works and especially not through the askbox because let's be fucking real:

i stepped away from this space back in november. some of you noticed, some of you didn’t, and that’s fine. what was happening here—both publicly and privately—became overwhelming. it wasn’t just about writing anymore. it felt like i was constantly giving, and even that wasn’t enough. the chaos didn’t stay on the dash; it followed me behind the bar, into my private messages, into relationships i thought were safe. eventually, i hit a point where i had to leave for my own sanity.

so i did. i grounded myself again. i remembered who i was outside of this account. i didn’t disappear to “heal quietly” or become productive overnight—i lived. i went out, i met new people, i let myself have fun, i met a girl that i really like, and slowly, i stopped thinking about this place altogether. my life is genuinely better now, and i’m in a good place. i wasn’t planning on saying anything.

but recent events in eyekonblr were brought to my attention, and i realized that staying silent about why i decided not to return doesn’t sit right with me anymore.

while i was here, i was involved with someone i met through this community—a fellow writer. i won’t get into details of the relationship itself, but i will say this plainly: i was lied to, manipulated, and taken advantage of. i trusted someone who curated an entire false identity. i was told she was an adult. she wasn’t. she told people she was 21. she was actually 16.

i found out after she abruptly disappeared from my life—after telling me she was dying—and after i came across her actual partner’s account. they had been together for years.

i need to be very clear about this part, had i known her real age, nothing between us would have happened. the things i shared, the intimacy, the trust—that consent was built on a lie. learning that it was with a minor was horrifying. it took a long time to even process, let alone accept, that this happened to me.

i’m sharing this not to start drama, not for sympathy, and not to be part of whatever discourse is happening right now. i’m sharing it as a warning.

we set boundaries here for a reason. mdni means something for a reason. but the reality is that people can lie easily online. they can manipulate, curate personas, and cross lines without regard for the harm they cause. and sometimes, you don’t realize it until you’re already hurt.

this experience solidified my decision to leave this platform for good. i won’t be writing here, and i won’t be reading fics anymore. it also changed how i feel about katseye as a whole, which sucks, but it is what it is.

do what you will with this information. just please take it seriously. protect yourselves. protect each other. and don’t assume that someone respecting your boundaries publicly means they’re doing the same privately.

she’s someone whose work I’ve looked up to for a long time. Her stories, her ideas, and her voice have inspired so many of us, and it’s heartbreaking to see her step back because of baseless attacks.

this should serve as an important reminder that authors —and creators in general — are human too. Behind every story, every post, every comment, there’s a real person with feelings, vulnerabilities, and limits. They’re not invincible, and constant criticism, especially when it’s fueled by rumors or assumptions, can take a serious toll on them.

to those who immediately believed and spread the negativity: please pause and think. Make sure you have proof before jumping on the hate train. Spreading fake information only harms the very people who give us so much through their creativity. Let’s remember to approach creators with respect, empathy, and patience, rather than tearing them down without cause.

In a way, this is actually a blessing.. because considering everything that happened in October and the deactivation of another writer here.. the fact that the few that comment or aks, are actually always nice and I never got hate pretty much, is astonishing. Sure at first there was one that was slightly mean but after that? Nobody.

I am gonna keep talking about this, because I fear that it is something that is gonna get swept under the rug.. like always.. and this comes from someone who grieves differently.. my brain makes me literally move on after just 2 weeks of loss.. while others grief for way longer.. like, all my memories of that past.. poof, disappear. As it almost they were never there... my body adapts too quickly, that is true, and that is just me.

But I too, wouldn't just go ahead and immediately forget the next day about this.. you didn't process it, you are trying to hide behind that, acting as if everything is fine when it is not.

These people, who did this to the writers, need to be held accountable.. sooner or later they will be found, nothing stays behind closed doors forever.

So until they do, I will keep talking about it, maybe once, twice a week, to make everyone remember that this shit is not over. Yesterday it was manonsmartini, tomorrow it is gonna be someone else.. maybe your favorite writer.. and just then you will truly care.. at times it feels like writers are just machines that operate for your own likings.

They do not upload -> you do not receive your fanfictions -> you get mad

For a few people, not all, and like fans in general yk? There is this egocentric reason to like someone.. I like this person and help this person because it benefits me.. and it gives me something in return.

Please if you believe this.. and only cared when it happens to you and your favorite writer.. change, know these early signs of what could also be narcissism. Now I ain't saying you are.. but that they should be stopped and revisited.

This is all really, and if manonsmartini is reading this, possibly from another account, know baby that we don't forget.. I know many people tend to be passive and do nothing for fear or because they think someone else is gonna do it.. and it hurts, because if everyone expects the other one to do it.. nothing is gonna get done. Take action for once.. don't wait for a miracle or someone else.. change comes from withing.

There has been loads of hate from anons in my inbox and I’m sure in many others. The solution on my page is the block button and move on. I won’t tolerate any hate speech and I feel for those who also have received it.

Genuinely what the fuck has happened to Katseye tumblr, this used to be a safe space for people to interact and have fun, now you no life anons just decided to RUIN it for everyone.

You sent hateful comments to someone who was struggling with SUICIDAL ideations, oh I’m sorry did that make you flinch? GOOD because not only did you send malicious comments to her. But also harassed her friends who did nothing but support her. I loved her writing it inspired me to start writing poetry again, her writing got me through some rough times in my life. And java if you ever read this just know that if you feel like you need a break ma cherié. Take that break. you are genuinely the kindest and sweetest person ever and know that many another writers on this platform wish the absolute best for you.

Now to you good for nothing anons, I hope you know that you are the most pathetic, insecure, disgusting individuals this world has ever seen. You’re like rotten milk, sour, unpleasant, and acrid. You have probably never felt a sense of love or belonging in your life before that’s probably why you send hateful comments and shamefully hide. Like get a grip of yourself seriously. Sending malicious comments isn’t going to make you feel better. You’re just going to realize how pathetically insecure you are.
