He’s a very fun person. I like his wits and I get a kick at how often he’s trolling to Nobu’s face and gets away with it. Not just for shipping purposes, but it’s just funny in general LOL. I also like how sneaky he is sometimes. Like the scene with the persimmons in the common route. It sucks that he ends up getting MC in trouble by bailing, but ahahaha, it’s so funny how he just climbs up the tree and disappears.

It’s hard to say what exactly I like about him. With Sengoku otome, I’m already biased for certain individuals because history, so I’m already interested in them from the get-go. If they’re enjoyable, then all the better for it! If they suck, then oh well, too bad. 

I have nothing to complain about his character. It’s rather... the plot of the routes? The stories’ romance just isn’t well-written. The events are annoying too, you know? We had to endure the “first love” story like 2-3 times over before the relationship finally progressed, unlike the first 6 lords who gets a somewhat-cohesive story that progresses with each event.

my first thoughts of kor were l o v e e; actually thinking back i was like oooh this is right up my alley, my kind of theme. and i was intrigued to see a take on an older mc since in the previous games i’d played at that point; like mfw & pil, the mc is pretty young in comparison.

my thoughts now; having played issei, junpei, soichiro & kyosuke add onto how much i enjoy the game. i think since i am at a stage in my life where i am passed high school romance and teenage mc’s, kiss of revenge is a great mature plot where the characters are a lot more relatable. i’m not middle-aged but it’s a frame of mind that i’m not completely out of touch with if that makes any sense. a lot of the context in the games where mc is younger, she experiences stuff i didn’t as a child so the plot is sort of lost on me if you like.

imho: Satoshi!Risa’s been hung up on Dark since vol 1, but Satoshi touches her pretty hair out of the blue (pun possibly intended) as early as vol 4. I’m pretty sure his reaction is the same whenever he begins to care about someone: avoiding/pushing away said person. He tried his hardest to not bond with Daisuke, but that lovable kid’s persistent and in constant need of saving. Much like a certain girl…

Risa noticed that White Dark saves her a lot and that Satoshi has some connection to artworks, but we don’t see much else from her POV about him or their apparent lack of interaction. She's probably a little annoyed but also relieved that his fanclub won't harrass her.

So I assume Satoshi would be the first to develop feelings, but Risa would have to be the first to act on them.

so i put some thought into this mainly because i am out of touch and never up to date with any of voltage inc releases. i play more sporadically lately also.

my favourite games are kiss of revenge, in your arms tonight and code of love. the themes written or touched upon in both kor and iyat, to me, are the most current and relatable. not that i confess to know how it feels to fall for the doctor involved in your mothers passing but kor delves into that darker stuff that i absolutely love. now for iyat, a pretty controversial topic of cheating comes up but kudos to voltage inc cause i loved it. i don’t condone cheating but i enjoyed the rather refreshing inclusion of the theme because it is a truly realistic challenge in a relationship. koichi’s affair is real and has real consequences as does any individual in that position: some people despise koichi for cheating. i did and do, but after reading his story you do come to see that because of his decision he is met with some promising character growth. good for you koichi, you are still a douchebag but at least his story was gripping and realistic which, honestly, a lot of ‘slice of life’ voltage games severely lack. i also have a little historical niche in my psyche so code of love panders to that.

as for my favourite character, that would yuta kajima. i enjoyed the story of his route and have yet to go on our honeymoon! as i mentioned before i can’t keep up.

so based on what i remember from the prologue and Itsuki’s season 1 none of the butlers took my fancy at all - the storyline is a bit cliché since I’ve read stories about servant-master relationship but i felt the writing and overall plot was downright shite. If you don’t agree with my opinion that is fine, I’m not here to start a war over it.

I’ve been a ‘fan’ of voltage games for a while so i know they write character tropes like you follow a user manual. (honestly as a side note it’s one of the qualities i dislike about voltage or writing in general because to me it restricts a personality to a few labels, not to mention i find it creative suicide.) Anyway since itsuki was described as a carefree/wild personality i thought I’d give him a go since he sounded the most fun, but not only was i wrong; his character offended me.

sorry but if a guy said anything about my image in a negative way i would tell him to fxckrightoff because it is unacceptable.

Nobunaga - Too busy singing about his swords to care. 

Mitsuhide - Now he has an excuse to have you dote on him & to play up the part of being “grabby.” 

Yukimura - Cries about it. Then forgets why he’s crying & cries about that. Then is too busy crying over the awesomeness that is Takeda Shingen.

Saizo - “Does this mean you will be the one taking advantage of me tonight, little lady?”

Masamune - He doesn’t know if he’s blushing from all the liquor or from being embarrassed at losing.

Kojuro - Tries to express his displeasure through a scolding then promptly passes the fuck out. ::mumbles “Bontenmaru”::

Hideyoshi - Homie, don’t bring your girl to meet me ‘cause I’m a flirt. 

Toshiie - Glares at you from across the room. 

Mitsunari - Will draw his blade on you & try to insult you in his inebriated state. “You loathsome… succulent, no… vixen… no no… vile… wench…”

Ieyasu - He insisted he wasn’t drunk. He wasn’t. Stop looking at him. “I’ll kill you.” ::pouts::

Kenshin - “You’re less drunk than me? Since when?” ::falls into a pond::
