Two weeks after the launch of Curry Potato Chicken Burger, the collaboration between McDonaldâs Singapore and Old Chang Kee (èæŸèź°) continues with the Rendang Curry Beef Burger đ. Juicy beef patties, dipped generously in rich, sedap rendang sauce. Layered over freshly fried egg đł and topped with fragrant onions.â đ§
I went and bought the Rendang Curry Beef Burger Feast (S$13.20) which included the burger, Curry McShaker Fries đ, Pineapple Coconut Pie đ« and a regular gassy drink đ„€ which I topped up S$0.30 to change to a large Coke Zero. The Rendang Curry Beef Burger came in a brown paper wrapper. Unwrapping it revealed a very saucy and messy burger đ with rendang curry all over. They could have at least offer the sauce in a separate tub and let us drizzle it ourselves. The beef patty dipped in rendang curry is juicy with big and bold flavours from the sauce. Sandwiched together with a fried egg đł and crisp onions đ§ in sesame seed buns.
The Curry McShaker Fries came separately with a pack of the curry seasoning and a paper bag. I poured the fries đ into the paper bag, add the seasoning and gave the bag a few shakes to mix thing up. The by now even more golden in colour fries are giving off curry fragrance and already good on its own without having to dip into chilli sauce or ketchup. My set meal also includes the Pineapple Coconut Pie đ« with tangy sweet pineapple đ and creamy coconut đ„„ cream in a crispy pastry shell.
The world is having a fever as temperatures around the globe is burning up. Letâs Beat the heat with Mango, I meant Mango Cone đ„đŠ (S$1.30) from McDonaldâs Singapore. Sweet, tropical mango đ„ meets creamy soft serve ice cream. Simple bliss, swirled into a crisp cone. Also available in Twist Cone and Twist ChocoCone coated in crispy chocolate shell.
