im sorry about how this blog has turned into a deeply unchic place where i complain about linkedin and my continued unemployment, for a change of pace i will mention i started reading studio cabana, it's a very fun shoujo, really deliberate about emotion & the way it plays around with stock tropes to subvert expectations... & it's a very satisfying read for those of us who enjoy seeing beautiful women torment cute boys (the female antagonist grooming the love interest is a central point, and it's handled well. it's fun when stories are both well-written & also scratch your id. we need more female groomer characters... for feminism)

They also really good games, like wow they so good. It’s like playable dungeon meshi oh wow. Probably my favorite bit of the game is the separation of the town and the dungeon. The town feels so safe and immediately the dungeon feels so unforgiving and scary. Genuinely anytime you go in you don’t know if you’re going to get out.
It’s so simple and I love how it’s just menus until you get into the dungeon. Immediately separating the two worlds in your mind.
