Commission for ReversalMushroom. I'm not used to drawing villain characters (mostly cus I really don't like them) but I like how this turned out. I came up with the idea of using CSP's tone pattern stuff to do the cel shading because she's a comic character. I ended up doing a full cel shading base just to make it easier to see what I'm doing, then applied that to the mask for the dot pattern. But then I decided to use those masks to combine them in certain areas carefully, cus I felt it had a nicer look. I then got a bit carried away, after making a simple fake comic book layout background, when I realised that I can indeed convert images into dot tones XDD So I then went nuts putting imagery from the power ponies episode into the background and converting them to dot tone patterns. From a distance I guess it just looks like pictures, but if you zoom in it looks real nice. Very happy with how some of it came out composition wise toom like the buildings of (was it manehatten?) behind her to her left just really working with the overall line direction of maneiac and the typography too. Also I am happy with how the shading on the face came out XD It was just 'okay' but then I decided to change the lighting direction to under her face and boom, perfect XD Also wanted her eyes to look a little more sickly and reepy from how they are in the show, cus I think that was the intention of how they looked. Anyway overall very happy with it. Let me know what you think.

They had her bc they thought she would be their little minion of revenge but. She’s just kind of fabulous and sassy. So that backfired.
