I've seen some posts say that Dr. Bhatia's death was over the top and undeserved, but did y'all forget that she had empirical evidence that the unicorn's horn had the ability to heal everything they threw at the poor creature, including resurrecting its dead body?

Even as she was sawing the horn off, she had a moment to witness it attempting to repair itself from the damage she was actively doing to it.

She knew that by removing the horn she was killing it for good, but she chose to finish the job anyways.

Frankly, I think her death was poetically on point: torn between her moral and financial obligations, she made the wrong choice.

And then she was literally torn in half as a result of that choice.

Pros:

- excellent cast doing excellent work

- doesn't feel like a nearly 2 hr movie; it's trim, tight, and you're so invested in asking questions and seeing what happens next to realize it's 1h 47m

- the monster is def something to enjoy, even if some of the animation doesn't always work (also: maybe puppet/ stop motion in some scenes? Looking forward to bts footage)

- general, overall, silly fun time (YMMV)

Cons:

- whatever was going on with the camera work that kept the background blurry in certain scenes (esp the flower room scene) really messed with my brain
