Damon was sitting by himself at the counter and most of the patrons had already left the Grill. He could tell Matt was trying to get him to leave by glaring insistently, but Damon was dead set on ignoring him. When someone sat down on the stool next to him, however, he frowned. "You only get to sit there if you're buying the next round."

Tatia never would have thought she’d one day be leaving this town. And what was even more important, she never would have thought she’d be doing that with Viviana sleeping on the passenger seat. Tatia usually didn’t trust people she only got to know a few days prior. Got to know? She practically didn’t know that woman! All she knew was that she also had her reasons to leave the town. Reasons that Tatia didn’t even want to know about. Let alone ask about them. 

Although it wasn’t easy to admit, especially considering the circumstances of their first encounter, in some twisted way Tatia grew fond of the girl. It was hard to like her, given her personality, but Tatia was not one to pass down a challenge - and knowing Viviana was most definitely a challenge.

Tatia knew that the girl had been asleep for a while; she could tell by the way she was breathing. She quickly took a look at the girl, before her eyes came back to the road. When she was asleep, she looked like an angel. The corners of Tatia’s lips lifted a little, as she knew that Viviana was far from an angel.
