hi! i couldn’t find any specific resources for you, sorry. personally, i find it loops better when there’s not a lot of movement (both camera and character movement) at the end and at the start of the gif, so the jump isn’t so big. like this:

i also find that it helps to have longer gifs, since shorter gifs tend to look choppier (which is a look some people like, of course, but since we’re talking about smooth loops here that’s not the goal). i personally try to get my gifs at least over 40 frames and i prefer not to go over 100 frames. the sweet spot for me is generally between 65-80 frames, but that’s just my preference.

another trick, that’s also about movement, is to make sure your character’s facial expression matches somewhat at the start and at the end. i feel like that’s a thing that often trips me up when making gifs, where at the start their mouth is closed for example, and at the end they’re in the middle of speaking w/ their mouth open. that usually makes the loop look less smooth so i try to remove frames off either end until i get a somewhat similar expression to soften the loop.

Okay, that’s out of the way, I will eventually have an arranged marriage so when Alec said that he changed his life for Magnus I wholeheartedly agreed. He did, he broke societal norms and started a relationship with a warlock. He came out of the closet, he went against his parents wishes. But what bothers me is when Magnus says that Alec did all of that for himself.

Is Magnus saying that because it seems like Alec had a choice between following what his parents wanted and doing what he, I don’t know the right way to say it but, felt compelled to do? I see some people saying that Magnus coerced Alec into having sex. Again I know what that feels like so I don’t agree with that view point. But feeling like Alec had to go out with Magnus….that for me is a grey area only because I feel like Magnus was the first man that reciprocated his feelings. Like Magnus was the first man that made him feel important. Maybe thats just me projecting and I do not want to taint the relationship of Malec with my experience.

in my case sometimes because I have forgotten how to write smut so it takes forever so I do a little bit and then I write something else before trying again

/you’d think I’d just cut smut out of the story to avoid this, but I can’t seem to do that either

Yeah since I got sucked into this fandom and started writing again I've only posted codas but I have like 5 WIPs going on and never used to write like this. I was always uber focused on one thing at a time and idk where my head is at now. Bits for all of them attack me randomly! Side note: I am in love with the emails fic and will take anything you produce for that haha.

As someone who is missing 50% of her family tree and doesn't have the same father as any of her siblings (who don't have the same fathers either) I have a keen appreciation for non-arboreal family representation

my mother always called it hemi-demi-semi-sibs

because yeah, I have two brothers and a sister and my eldest brother has a brother and a sister and my sister has a brother and my youngest brother has a plethora of tiny siblings and those second row siblings I am NOT RELATED TO AT ALL

and for the youngest brother I’ve never even met them cause his mom and our dad divorced VERY BADLY 

I always got along with my older brother’s sister better than I really did the older brother? Especially since he’s turned weird and conservative in his old age *sighs* (I am friends with the older brother’s mom and sister on facebook but not him, to uh. illustrate the weirdness of my own personal family hedge)

Yes it is and I knew that I just cannot figure out where or how to transition and also POV issues and also I’m not sure I can write smut that follows on from that wow
