31 for 31 2021 Day 21 Movie: 31 Rob Zombie’s 31 was just ok for me. As Zombie’s directorial career plugs along, I have come to realize that he is very hit or miss for me. I think Rob Zombie is an incredible director, writer not always. A lot of times the dialogue seems forced, and I’m not always sure if it’s mediocre writing or subpar acting. Either way 31 was a slog for me. I was absolutely stoked to see Meg Foster make an appearance, but frankly Malcom McDowell’s chatting throughout the movie was fucking exhausting! It definitely wasn’t my favorite Rob Zombie Joint. But the opening monologue by Doom-head is filmed in b & w, it’s gritty, dark, and disturbing. The kind of scene that can really set the tone for the whole movie. 31 wasted the opportunity for sure, But I think that the take away here is that Doom-Head is an interesting character and has a story beyond 31. I’d love to see some character development there. That’s why I decided to draw Richard Break’s Doom-Head, the true star of 31. . . . . . #malcommcdowell #richardbrake #doomhead #sherrymoonzombie #megfoster #robzombie #31 #31for31 #daytonartist #daytonohioartist #ohioartist #sethmarchantartwork #digitalmanipulation #digitalart #creepyart #horrormovies #horrorfan #artistsoninstagram #horrordrawing #horrorfanatic #illustration #macabreart #darkart #horrorlife #creepy #drawing #horrorartwork #horror #horrorgeek #creepyartwork (at Englewood, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVeQ2DIsZJ5/?utm_medium=tumblr
