Slide on over so I can take a seat too, the mind just as the location needs to clear out the clutter. Just as one gets things new, there needs to be something done with all things old. Another seasonal cleaning is under way. To make way for what needs to be revamped can bring you a smile during these times of the world's hibernation. For just as the sun smiles from behind the clouds, we can smile from behind stacks of stuff if we're not careful.

There's this major inspection happening at my apartment complex next week and this morning there was a "pre-inspection." Soooo, the rules state that nothing can block "my egress" from my windows and OF COURSE my dresser was just tall enough to be egregious of my egress. That meant rearranging my bedroom and getting rid of an old filing cabinet (I never really cared that much for it other than it held all my stuff. Hot Diggity Dog I have stuff.) Tomorrow I have soft linen filing containers being delivered and I'm excited. I have tons of memorabilia: notes that my friends and I in High School wrote to each other, papers that I wrote, High School and Middle School newspapers, report cards, drawings from early childhood, nearly every card I've ever been given, early poetry, and alllllll my ticket stubs and programs. A lot of it is in those decorative boxes, but some was in the filing cabinet, waiting to be sorted. I love looking through my memorabilia. My tangible memories.
