It is not that you need to have A-Z coding knowledge to successfully make a game app. Actually, it has been noticed that when it comes to how to make a game, most people think that they have to make their hands dirty in codes. Today is the first day of making my own game. I’ll be recording the process of making my own game, including game concept art, character design and coding process, etc.

Petit projet en cours de développement à l’occasion d’une jam amateur sur GameJolt : la Press Start Game Jam ! Après avoir passé des heures à essayer de build une version stand alone pour windows basé sur mon code en python, je l’ai finalement passé sous Game Maker pour au final décider d’une version web parce que je ne suis pas très à l’aise avec le soft de YoYo Game.

Top-Dodge :#YOLOEdition, c’est son nom, est un petit jeu à l’interface retro et au gameplay très simple comme le suggérait le thème du concours. Le but est d’éviter les murs tout en attrapant les bonus afin d’obtenir le meilleur score, ce qui me donna l’idée pour le titre. Bah oui, je ne suis pas doué en anglais mais j’ai quand même eu la badass idée de jouer sur les mots top-doge (le meilleur) et dodge (esquiver). Le jeu, dans sa version final devrait être composé de plusieurs niveau fini avec donc un score maximale à atteindre. Un système de chaîne sera certainement développé, ce qui permettra au bon joueur attrapant plusieurs bonus d’affilé d’être d’avantage récompensé.
