a number of months ago I watched season four of stranger things and fell in love with Robin's patched black denim jacket and decided I would love to have a replica of it both for cosplay and just to wear in general. After a long look online I discovered the high price and the shipping fee of more than half the price I thought I would just buy a denim jacket and then order the patches to sew on, but I then ran into another issue, I discovered that I couldn't find the patches for sale anywhere, so now, I am attempting to hand embroider the patches. Today I finally bought (what I hope is) all the materials to begin the project and I thought that I could make updates, both to motivate myself and inform/ warn others of how this endeavour goes! more detailed information on my beginning is below the cut.

i am keeping my expectations purposely as low as possible to minimize the blind hatred i’ll feel come january if this goes the wrong way.
