for trimming:

 get them threaded somewhere reputable (I think there's a couple places in appleton?? i could research for you, i've never done it but I know people who have)

otherwise, if you want to tweeze

get a nice tweezers. like seriously it sucks to do it with a cheap one. Tweezermans are my fave but the ones from sephora are okay. revlon ones SUCK. Plan on spending at least 15 dollars

plan out what kind of shape you want, spend some time looking in the mirror and thinking about it. it should be close to your natural brow shape bc otherwise you will look silly.

use your tweezers (or another straight edge) to find three points on your brow 1) from the outside corner of your eye to the brow 2) the center of your pupil to your brow 3) the inner corner of your eye to your brow

pluck so that your brow goes from the outer point to the inner point that you just found

then pluck so that the inner half of your eyebrow is thicker/more slanted and the outer half is thinner and rounder

there are some good tutorials on the youtubes if you want extra guidance. pixiwoo is my favorite makeup youtube ever and I think they have a couple on brows? otherwise, just search around and there's definitely some helpful videos

for makeup:

You can use either eyeshadow or a pencil. They make pencils especially for brows that are a little softer than regular eyeliner, but eyeliner works just fine too. I prefer eyeshadow, though. You can use a range of browns or even black depending on how ~~intense you want to be. Make sure it's matte though!! I used sparkly brown once and i looked rlly stupid. 

for the pencil, put it onto your brows with little upward motions from the inside of your eyebrow to the outside. remember, you're trying to get it onto the hairs and not your skin.

for the shadow, use an angled brush (sometimes called brow brushes, my fave brushes are these) and use the same upward and outward motion to put the eyeshadow into your brows.

this movement takes some practice

then if you want to be really cool use brow gel. I use chella but when that runs out I'm planning on getting some Anastasia brow gel (which you can get at sephora). Just brush it on kind of like mascara from the inside of your brow to the outside.

in a pinch you can use brown mascara, but that's a little touchy.
