The little creatures that inhabit this world are fascinating, and pose exciting challenges when it comes to taking their pictures (an activity into which Todd has thrown himself quite quickly, since he still has his camera, and since he isnāt one to let improbable circumstances get in his way), but it still comes as a relief when he spots a species he actually recognizes. The Carnivine isnāt accompanied by any other identifiable Pokemon, but its presence alone is a welcome and intriguing link to home.
āHey, buddy!ā he greets it with even more warmth than he usually would, approaching at a casual and nonthreatening pace. The Carnivine has a great smile-- he just has to snap such a winning expression!-- but more importantly, it seems pretty relaxed for being in a place as strange as this one. Maybe there are other Carnivine deeper into the forest that Todd just hasnāt seen yet, or maybe--
āIs your trainer out here with you?ā
As if on cue, another figure comes into sight, and Todd steps back to observe how Carnivine responds to the new arrival. They certainly seem to know each other, at least.
āOh, hey, Iām Todd-- this is your Carnivine, right? Itās so cute! Itās obvious you have a great bond-- itās easy to see how happy and at ease it is. You wouldnāt mind if I took its picture, would you?ā
Todd has a lot of other questions about how these two got here and why no one else in the city seems to know what a Pokemon is, but... they have time for a few quick shots first, before the Carnivine and its trainer walk further into the shade of the trees and out of this wonderful lighting.
