I rarely collaborate with companies and when I do, I only endorse products that I know I'll love. Besides the scrapbooking kits I've been a DT member of, Lace & Whimsy, and Arteza art supplies (I'm currently obsessed with their watercolor pencils), I don't generally accept opportunities for collaboration.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I was recently contacted by @theskippingstone to see if I wanted to work with them and review one of their journals. I looked into them and was very intrigued by their mission. The Skipping Stone ethically sources all of their handmade goods from artisans in India and all of their profits go back to a non-profit mission in India that helps to free women from a life of human trafficking and working in brothels. They train the women they save in vocational skills they can use to get jobs and provide for their families. They are called The Skipping Stone because they believe the small act of kindness you make in life causes a ripple effect and effects change.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." - Mother Teresa⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I really like their mission and while it's just a small one in this vast world of problems, it's still one stone across the water creating many ripples. So I agreed to review one of their journals, the video which you can find up on my Youtube channel.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I honestly really love this journal. It's handmade from real leather and recycled cotton paper. The paper takes everything! I literally tried fountain, brush, and gel pens, watercolors, charcoal pencil...all the things I had lying on my desk and the paper took all of it with no bleed/show through. It's a chunky journal with about 100 pages, perfect I think for traditional journaling or drawing and light watercolor. This is the Classic Journal with the wrap around closure in the Mini A6 size. They have other styles but I love this classic one.
