Dying for the title release but what if it's something super ambiguous and tells us absolutely nothing about the book or who it's about lol. And then we are left to argue and bicker for another year đ

Was thinking about ways to start to subtly hint to the GA that Mike likes Will because they canât just jump straight to like Vecna callout, even as a queer Mike truther I think that feels forced, and then I just thought...
Do what they always do. End a scene with a look like 4x04. Just...this time...donât interrupt. Let the look linger. in silence. Have Will be the first to look away. Then either Mike looks down and like âohâ and maybe a little insecure (yk that look that kind of implies that something did just happen) or just have him not look away.
I feel like thatâs a start for sure. And it makes the most sense from the starting point weâre at too because like. There are not actions there that could be argued out of character. I mean, people who want to can deny but active deniers arenât GA - GA are the people not committed to an interpretation so they arenât pushing back. It wouldnât seem out of character or sudden at all because itâs just...a continuation of what his behavior was already like. The cameraâs just focusing on it a little more now. It demonstrates a hypothetical. A lingering glance is universal TV language. We know what it means. And an interrupted one like theyâve had is still a little deniable in nature, but a look-away? A shy, coy reaction? As if something just happened between them? Something unspoken just from intimate eye contact? That gets the ball rolling. Even if slowly. It can pick up speed from there. Itâs gaining momentum.
Ten Modern Plagues:
The LORD: Moses, go back to Manhattan and organize a union.
Moses: NEW PHONE WHO DIS.
The LORD: I am the god of your ancestors, Abraham and so on, what part of 'go organize unions' are you not getting?
The LORD: Anyway go do that and then go tell CEO to raise your people's pay or I'll turn the rivers to blood.
Moses: What the heck is that going to do? Ain't you seen our rivers?
The LORD: . . . right. My bad. Let me see what I can do to the stock market.
The LORD: Oh and don't forget to look up how to handle management and cops. I'm going to be a little busy googling substitutes for frogs.
Y'all NEED to hype up The Lightning Thief's live action so Sea Of Monsters will come out and y'all NEED to hype that up too so The Titan's Curse will come out and y'all NEED to bully Rick Riordan into filling 10 y/o Nico with little lines like "pirates are better than mermaidsđ¤ˇ" and "I'd never date a girl, gross!" that would come off as innocent and then make sense when you realise-
Oâ great advise master, I need your help! This is probably going to sound very confusing but one of my main characters will essentially have 3 different names throughout my book. Itâs going to be written in 3 POV so I am afraid my (future) readers will get confused by this and think itâs a different character. Back story: she is a slave who starts out with her real name, gets bought and they give her a name, escapes and she goes by an undercover name. Any advise on how you would go about this?
Hahaha thanks Nonnie! :D Â
This concept sounds amazing!! I wouldnât worry about your readers being confused about the three different names for the one character⌠make it work for you. Sounds like it could work out as a brilliant plot twist for you. Keep your readers thinking they are different people and then a big reveal that they are the same person the whole time. You could weave the perspectives through each other and the separation is a time gap instead of a different point of view. The foreshadowing here would be fun to play with.Â
However if you are steadfast that your readers need to know the whole time that the three names are the same person, you just need to lay it out obviously for them, you can always change this to something more subtle in editing.Â
You got this, make your writing quirks work for you! :)Â
