I reread half of your heated rivalry fics the other day because they are amazing.

I can’t stop thinking about a random detail:
In Make a Move Cliff mentions that Weibe give Ilya and Shane a talk after Ilya accidentally sends one of their sex tapes to the group chat.
The two of them sit on the ice like a pair of kids as Wiebe takes a deep, steadying breath and skates over to them, where he gives them a talk that nobody else can hear.
I am dying to know, what in the world does Wiebe say. It’s unclear if he even knows the full scope of the situation. How does one even begin to approach this situation. Both of them preemptively sitting their asses down is so funny.
Darling anon I have to confess that I did not put much thought into the conversation Weibe might be having with them but I have to imagine that it's something about professionalism. Like, hey guys this is a bad look. And Shane is stewing in embarrassment and in the back of his head is a voice that sounds like his own six-year-old self that is just yelling HE STARTED IT because this is not his fault. Also his husband does, still, even to this day bring out the worst in him at times. (this is in fact Ilya's goal because...well I'll be honest he's real horny for Shane being messy)
Ilya, meanwhile, is actually relatively contrite because 1. It IS genuinely his fault that the video got posted (It should have been in a password locked album on his phone but he'd recorded it literally the night before and forgot. It is actually not at all impossible to accidentally post images/videos to a group chat with your pocket, especially if that video/image is one of the first ones on your roll and the chat in question is already open when you put your phone in your pocket) and 2. Ilya has a lot of respect for Weibe and ALL of the Centaurs and this does unfortunately step toes over the line of acceptable. It's something everyone is going to laugh about but it's also something that should not have happened.
Weibe probably didn't see the video because he's not in the players' chat. But the people who ARE in the players chat include: every active member of the Cens. Two guys who are on LTIR and only BARELY know Hollanov as a couple let alone as individuals. A handful of guys from the AHL affiliate. Tanner Dillon, who got traded to Colorado mid-season. A guy who's been retired since before Ilya joined the team and they keep him in the chat because he billets rookies. A random player from the Pittsburg Puffins who Bood took a liking to at a chili festival two years ago.
