The real reason Dragonlance does not have guns is that the Majere twins and violent firearm eroticism were obviously made for each other in a way that non-firearm weapons or magic do not carry, which however doesn't mean we shouldn't also eroticize Caramon's canonical weapons or Raistlin's dagger not to mention Raistlin's magic about it however it does not even come just as naturally as with guns, and if at least any one of them canonically had a gun the canon would simply not handle it.
