White Star Liner Titanic Length 882 ft. 6 ins. Breadth 92 ft. 6 ins. 45,000 Tonnage Sailed from Southampton on her ill-fated maiden voyage on April 10th, 1912, carrying 2,350 passengers and crew. Struck an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland. Perished on Monday, April 15th, 1912.

The survivors had spent two hours of night evacuating a sinking ship in the North Atlantic, getting on tiny life boats to board small ships that weren't big enough to take them all. People were injured, scared and in the dark. Families were separated. Many people had already died, crushed in the collision.

Suddenly, a gigantic ship pierces through the fog, light pouring out from every deck, towering over all of the other ships present. It's the Île de France, a veritable fortress on the waters, come to rescue them. She must have looked like a 43 000 tons angel appearing in the night.
