Hello Hello! Happy Monday friends! It is officially the start of the Summer Soltice! ☀️ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ 💭 Question: Do you have a favorite stand-alone book? I think for me, Kiera Cass's "The Siren" is definitely on my #maiarecommends list! 🧜♀️ This book is just a quick read, you can practically finish it one sitting! I admit there were times that I was getting bored of it or was tempted to drop it ... but the ml, Ankinli really hooked me. 😩 He was complete sunshine and happiness all bottled up in one person. 💕 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ The most interesting part for me is the concept of Ocean being its identity (think Moana 🌊, but with a hint of Romeo and Juliet) plus how Cass was able to flesh out and incorporate the siren mythology rather making it seem as a backdrop. ❗️Fair warning though that this book is a serious case of insta-love! If you are not a fan of that, it's okay. Cass has another series called "The Selection Series" and a new book that just came out called "The Betrothed" that you might want to check out! 🌟 ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ Over all, Kiera Cass didn't disappoint me. She created a world so beautiful, yet so sad at the same time. She created characters that are relatable in their own way.
