@magusanima continued from this:
Zevran's golden eyes twitched ever so slightly, the minutest flicker taking them to Behni's hands, and in less than a second, back to his eyes again as if they'd never left. His gaze was steady and solid, almost uncharacteristically so, as if he knew exactly what was going on in the mage's head in that moment.
A ridiculous notion of course, Zevran wasn't a mind reader. Even so, the rogue did have a knack for knowing things he shouldn't. Or at least seeming like he did, anyway.
"I do not doubt your... energy and vigor, Warden," he offered, arching a brow, "I am only advocating an exercise in caution. Battle is not only a test of might, but of restraint as well, is it not?" Zevran glanced down as he set about getting the blades in his hands into their places on his belt, and perhaps giving Behni a chance to collect himself before he answered.
Zevran didn't know what exactly had Behni in such a... tizzy. Something to do with their time at the Circle undoubtedly, in consideration of the timing. But Behni had offered no insights to what he truly thought of that whole... debacle, and Zevran knew better, in this instance at least, than to push. The Warden would open up if and when he wanted to.
"Where would we be, if our fearless leader were to faint from exhausting himself?" He added.
