Vampire's are a long time favourite in fiction, this week we're taking a look at how satirical author, Terry Pratchett reimagines the myths.

This week saw the birthday of British author, Terry Pratchett, so we're delving into the Discworld, and taking a look at his novel Carpe Jugulum - featuring a turf war between the (fan favourite) Lancre Witches, and the encroaching Count Magpyr and his vampire family.

I love how in Witches series Magrat is a victim of bad spelling, so when her daughter is borne, she dutifully tells the registry to mind spelling and she gets Margaret Esmeralda Note Spelling.
