What impresses you? Like actions and skills wise
Loyalty and ambition are the two values I prize above all others.
As far as actions, or skills - well, when I consider someone for a place in my ranks, I consider their individual talents. What can they bring to the table? Are they good duelists? Strategists? Perhaps they are gifted with numbers, or languages, or deception. Perhaps their potions are phenominal, or they can cast a cruciatis like no other. I am not looking for any one skill in particular, I am looking for what they can provide.
I find people who are boastful or pretentious to be dull. Not to say I dislike confidence - I am quite attracted to confidence - but it is easy to slip into vanity. The Malfoys can be an example of this. Vain, showy, insufferable.
Many traits I admire are situational; someone who can be well spoken when need be, though of course, it depends. I do not care how eloquent someone is or is not in the heat of battle. I care about their wandwork, their skill with magic. Yes, skill with magic, that is one trait I look for almost universally. Or the willingness and ability to learn. They must not complain when something is difficult. They must try again. Many things can be taught, you see, as long as one is willing to learn.
People seem to think I am so...elitist in certain ways, that I would have all of my followers conform to a certain culture of lavishness and snobbery akin to the Lestrange family. This is untrue. I would never disqualify a worthy pure-blood from entering my ranks if they were merely uncouth, uneducated, and rough around the edges. I mean, look at Macnair. The man practically grew from the mold growing on the wall of the Hog’s Head.
The people who say these things, well they clearly hadn’t met me at ten years old. If they had, well, they would certainly not have expected that child to have grown up to have become such a success, let me put it that way.
