You touch a tiny, non-living object to mark it with your magic. Sentient magic items must make a charisma saving throw or gain your signature. Non-magic objects become magical. You automatically detect an object with your signature when you are within 30 feet of the object.
Whenever detect magic detects a signature, the object’s faint aura pulsates to a unique rhythm. You may study the new signature’s rhythm in this way for 1 minute to learn the signature. You don’t identify who a signature belongs to in this way, but can recognize the same signature thereafter. If you know the unique signature of the original caster, you immediately identify their signature.
You can make a permanent signature by casting this spell on the same object every day for three days.
If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to two non-permanent signatures active at a time. You can dismiss a signature by touching the affected object as an action.
