I ended up remaking my Spamtenna Magic deck (2 out of the 3 people who play with me uh. Have voiced their distaste of the proliferate mechanic v^v. So I decided to try and make something else even more annoying.) and, while I haven't had the chance to test it much, the one time I did it was very Fun ^v^ (and made one of my opponents Mad).
I'll reblog this with the full deck once I get it tested and cleaned up more, but I wanted to share the silly proxies I made.
Gold Stake, Magic Deck
Okay. This one I'm pretty proud of.
Picked up Madness in the first shop. Literally first thing, so it had a ton of time to scale. I actually picked up the Gros Michel for the Ante 1 boss, since Madness won't eat a Joker on boss blinds, and I wasn't super super sure I was strong enough to make it.
Odd Todd came pretty early, and made this an Aces and 9s focused kind of build. I used a couple Strength cards and an early Immolate to make it easier to play odds. This is a pairs build, so Mercury up to 25! I picked up a Mercury pretty early, and my starter Fools helped me boost that up. Gave the Madness something to actually multiply. (lol)
Mystic Summit came super late. I spend the whole run barely scraping by with Odd Todd, and then in like... Ante 6? it showed up and saved my bacon. I also have a Blue Seal, Steel, 2 in the deck. I got The Needle blind as a boss in a late round, whatever would make my target 120,000 (Boss 6?), and it was probably only by the grace of managing to get the Steel in my hand that I survived. The resultant Mercury was just the cherry on top that round.
Anyway. I know I made some poor choices this time out. Ante 1 Madness arguably being one of them. But I decided to try something fun, even if it wasn't ideal. It wouldn't do any great shakes in endless, but it was good enough for me to move on to Nebula!
Magic Deck Starman
I love the aesthetics of Balatro so much, the drip-paint look to the Magic Deck back is one of my favorites
Building a new mtg deck~
I'm very excited because I'm making a full Baldur's Gate deck ♡
I just don't know who to actually use tho?
I'm thinking a Raphael?
And obviously adding Karlach and Wyll
But I dont know who else to add yet...
