Magic Cookie Bar (Disney World)
25 Days of Cookiemas - Day Three
Baking is not easy for everyone. Not only do you gotta know what you want and how to assemble it, but you’ve got a bunch of picky eaters who will complain if you add something they don’t like. My little sister, for example, hates nuts. This recipe is easy to make and easy to adapt for picky people like her (or for your friends with nut allergies), and is just as good with or without nuts.
Magic “Cookie” Bars
Ingredients
1 pack graham crackers, crushed
1 stick butter
1 pack chocolate chips
1 pack butterscotch chips
1 bag frozen, presweetened coconut
1 can sweetened and condensed milk
1 cup pecan pieces (not whole pecans!)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x11 glass pan and spread graham cracker crumbs across the bottom.
Melt the butter and pour it across the crumbs, being sure it is all dampened, and press it down to form a crust.
Cover with a layer of coconut shreds.
Spread the chocolate and butterscotch chips across the coconut layer. if adding pecans, spread them across as well. Press down slightly so it isn't too loose.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly across the whole pan.
Bake for twenty minutes or until the coconut is browned. Let cool in the pan, then cut into squares and serve. May be a little crumbly.
